Arrival Story:
I got Ivy at the spur of the moment when I was living in Boston. I didn't have any plans, time, or money for a dog, but when she came along, I decided I'd find a way to keep her. She belonged to a guy who lived a few blocks away. He was walking by one day when my roomate was outside and they started talking. He told her he loved Ivy, but he had another pitbull, a cat, and a newborn at home, and he said we would probably be able to give her more attention that he could. My roomate called me outside and the cutest puppy crawled right into my lap and started licking my face. It was love at first sight. There was no way I could let her walk away from me! Ten minutes later I was the proud new owner of Ivy, and my life has never been the same!

Ivy's extremely energetic and friendly. She's very smart, but she just can't get a hold of her excitment sometimes. However, I know that she would NEVER hurt a soul, so I don't worry. Dog people know that she's a sweetie when she goes leaping towards them with her tail (okay, her whole butt) wagging. Needless to say, she gives me and my older dog, Bullwinkle, plenty of exercise! She's a mommy's dog, and it shows. When she was a wee-pup she had no fur on her belly and it was winter in Boston. I stuck her under the covers with me so she could be warm, and she immediately snuggled up to me and fell asleep. Ever since then, she has slept under the covers with me. That is until I moved in with my boyfriend and she was banished from the bed when he's in it. Now she sleeps on her own big doggy bed, but I still cover her with a blanket at night. If my boyfriend leaves before I'm awake in the morning, Ivy jumps right back into bed with me! Spoiled indeed, but since I have no children yet, who else am I supposed to spoil?
