Leave a bone for Olivier

Nicknames: The Oh Dawg, Oh Oh

Badges: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 2nd 1997
Likes: Chasing after tennis balls and riding in the back of the Porsche

Pet-Peeves: Olivier has a bad habit of biting other dogs' ears and tails and then becomes upset when a dog does it to him.

Favorite Toy: Felix the pink floppy-eared bunny

Favorite Food: Carrots and dried liver.

Favorite Walk: Anywhere!

Best Tricks: "Are you guilty?" Olivier nods up and down when asked.

Arrival Story: Olivier was the last puppy of his litter to find a home. I was originally intending to purchase a black female littermate, but when I went back to pick her up, I noticed that Olivier was still available and remembered how much he had charmed me with his clown-like antics and happy, outgoing attitude. I asked if I could purchase him instead and we drove off into the sunset.

Bio: July 30, 2009
Olivier passed away today. I am recalling all of the fun things we did together in our time together.
Olivier loved to run. He practiced this art at many places: ball fields, nature trails, beaches, the backyard, pastures, country roads. He especially loved to run at Dog Beach in Ocean Beach, CA when we lived there in the late 1990s. He would float around like a sail from a boat, darting in and out of the crowds, never venturing close enough to the water to get wet (strange for a supposed water dog).
He stole as much pizza as I probably ate in my entire life. After a while, we would just order him a slice as well (cheese, pepperoni and green peppers were his favourite, although I think he just wanted the crust).
He loved car rides, getting pets, and spending the day at my parent's farm, where he would run for hours and then lie underneath a tree when he got tired. During the last year of his life, he faced a series of illnesses and health challenges. His eyes clouded up, the spring disappeared from his step, and he needed a lot more sleep than usual. But, all I had to do was rattle the leash and he would come bounding down the stairs ready to trot about the neighbourhood like a fine show pony. He was nicknamed many things: Ollie-Dawgs, O-dawg, Olivier, Ollie. I will always remember him as "friend." In a time of turmoil in my life, the one constant was Olivier. Although I will miss him forever, I will forever remain grateful that I was his.
