Arrival Story:
Lucy was at the Levy County Shelter. Her and her brother were found in a ditch. Her brother was adopted and died of parvo within a week. I picked Lucy up from the shelter and I thought I had some sort of doxie/minpin puppy. She was 5 weeks old and 3 pounds. I rushed her to the vet and he said she was a happy healthy catahoula. "A very good looking pup". Everyone swore that she was a minpin. I had just lost my heartdog, Grendel-Khan War Child, black and tan minpin. I was still fostering for Catahoula Rescue, but I had been looking for another Minpin. Then came Lucy. Lucy was Grendel. She had his same cockiness, his same sighs, his same attitude about life. All 3 pounds of her and she was ready to take on the world. I had to keep her.

Bio:
Lucy is a dillute leopard with a natural bobtail. She is a petite build with a sharp mind. Lucy sleeps in the bed with me and is the only dog in the house that gets away with everything. Lucy is a bratty dog, she is very primadona. My favorite story of Lucy is that I left her in the house loose one day and I came home to find she had been a very busy girl. She had spread the garbage throughout the house. Of course when I came home she was very happy to see me and proceeded to flop down beside me as I crouched to pick up the mess and sigh deeply. Every time I moved to go pick something else up, she would scramble up and go over to me and plop down and sigh. After the third or fourth time, I just started laughing. It was if she was saying "Hey, MOM! I have had a busy day. These three dogs broke into the house, destroyed the garbage and I had to chase them out of here. Where is the appreciation?" I really think she is part cat... Lucy is my baby and loves to play with her sister, Georgia. She loves to try to boss the bigger girl around. Lucy does love to climb into the bathtub when we are fostering little babies (puppies or kittens) and she knows "to play nice" with them. She always checks on them whenever they make a lot of noise and will come get me or climb in there with them if they need something.

I will be officially TWO years old this week.
Mom wanted to post some new pics of me so you can see that some things don't change. Something about being a chow hound and a camera hog. What on earth is she talking about????

I gotta go to my Daddy's house this weekend. Boy that was fun! Me and Tawew raced around. Daddy is sick. Got some sort of cracked rib and pneumonias and Mom was over there taking care of him. Although Mom says he is milkin' it. I didn't see any Moo cows around - just yummy Steak cows, but who knows.
I dont see a lot of Daddy lately since Mom started this new rescue thing and working late at night with Grandma in Gvlle, but Mom thought I would like to go to the farm this weekend. I was thrilled. Dad says I am pingpong girl 'cuz I always race in the house and touch all the furniture and then race back outside to go play.
It was great. Tawew was let out of the pen and her and I checked out the horses and those big Cows and the neighbor dogs.
It is pretty cool at the house lately 'cuz Mom just has one foster puppers. We had Scooter-Putter, who was the bestest pretend Hog in the world (Mom says it was ridiculous because I am a little shrimp and he is a pittbull and I would drag him around the yard), but she found anudder foster home for him in Jax-son-bill and Mom brought home foster brother Dakota who was staying with our friend Caroline, but she is going to Mexico for a week so Dakota is kind a temporary foster. (Yeah, right) Dakota is lab and catahoula so he is super cool. Georgia and I love him. Although Powder just growls and snaps at him. Dakota is totally lab to me 'cause he just does not care. He is always happy and always wants to play. He really is like Georgia except he has cool spots. He has cooler spots than me!
Anyway, gotta go find a bone to chew... Check out Dakota and Scooter at www.catahoulaunited.com

I have officially been with Mommy for a year now. Mom picked me up for transport from the Levy County Animal Control one day before Thanksgiving last year. Hee hee. I never did make it on that transport.
