Arrival Story:
Sadie's dog mom, Felicia, was rescued from living under a house and 1 day later she delivered a litter of 9 puppes. I went to meet them when they were 7 weeks old and there were 5 of the puppies left. Sadie was the runt of the litter, but she was so sweet and affectionate that I chose her. She cam ehome with me 4 days later and immediately stole my heart. The first month I had her she came to work with me every day (no small feat as I work in a hospital, but I couldn't leave her home alone for the long hours I work). Anyway, she got pletny of attnetion at work and we bonded quickly. She had to stop ocming to work with me anymore whne she no longer fit in my gym bag. Now she is my favorite little friend.

I had no idea that today was destined to be anything special. However, when I woke up this morning and my mom took me for a walk saying something like Happy Birthday Sadie. I thought that the day was starting well. Then when we got home she actually poured the pan droppings from a rotisserie chicken on top of my food and repeated the same Happy birthday. I am still at a loss for what on earth happy birthdya means, but I know that it is a good thing. To top things off she gave me a box that contained two rawhides and I got to choose one of them. She says that I'm special today. I have no idea, but I think that we should do this everyday. Yeah, for turning two.

For the past couple of days my mom has been home with me during the day but working nights. Therefore, I have gotten to go to the store with her where I picked out a new toy (picture to be posted soon), more greenies oh and she bought something too. Then we go hiking, I watch her cook, work on her projects around the house and help as I can- (I am particularly good at helping her put tape on the floor so she doesn't paint the carpet when she paints the baseboards) etc. My days have been filled with following her everywhere. But today she left for work early- and I am left in the house with my new toy and no plans. I think I'll start the day by trying to take a nap on every couch, bed and chair in the house. After that who knows- check back in to see what mischief i cause

Last Wednesday I got to go to the airport to meet my mom. She home from fun vacation and her parents brought little me to the airport to greet her. I even got to go into the luggage return place because I couldn't wait to lick my mom's face, although the baggage carousel scared me a little. It was definately different for me.
Now, I'm off to play with my friend Henry for the night. i'll sleep well tomorrow.
