Likes:
Squarrels and rats; outdoor space, attention, attention and more attention. She's the happiest when she's attached to you 24/7. When she was in Australia, she LOVED running away from home...

Pet-Peeves:
not seeing squarrels when we are in the park, getting caught after running away...

Favorite Toy:
Our 2nd dog MayMay....

Favorite Food:
I think she would love it if she can eat a squarrel...

Favorite Walk:
The Royal Botanical Garden in Melbroune, Australia; and Central Park in NYC

Best Tricks:
running away from home, sit and "go to bed" (and she goes to sleep)

Arrival Story:
After meeting Ben, my parents also want a dog of their own. We went to the RSPCA (Australia's version of ASPCA) and she was so good and so cute! cutest little thing (who was in need of a good haircut), staring at us with her big eyes while all the other dogs were barking their heads off. We just had to bring her home...She lived with my parents in Melbourne for 3 years. Recently, my dad had a heart surgery and can no longer take good care of Ruby. As a result of it, I went to Australia to pick her up and brought her back to the Big Apple to chill w/ her two siblings Ben and MayMay.

Bio:
She is the cutest little thing. When we first got her, she LOVED running away from home when she was in Australia. Luckily, she's a chubby little one with short legs. We were able to get her back every single time (and get a good laugh out of her attempts!) Now that she's in NY, she's getting very attached especially to MayMay. They do everything together - eat, sleep, play... you name it, they do it together! she hasn't tried once running away.

mom kept on calling me a mutt...
and I think we finally figured out that I'm a pretty good Irish Jack Russell Terrier, a.k.a "shorty"

not bad. no wonder my legs are so short.

A BIG TRIP FOR A LITTLE AUSSIE DOG

Mate, here I thought going to Sydney in a car from Melbourne was the longest (and best) trip) I've ever taken! Boy was I wrong!!!! Let me tell you - Melbourne to NY - 23 hours of flying time, 2 hours for cheking in, 4 hours in b/w flights, 3 hours to clear custom - dude, 32 hours...

So here's a little background on me - I was wandering on the highway outside of Melbourne Australia when the RSPCA picked me up and sent me to the shelter. A month later, the nice folks brought me home to the nicest loft (in a tall building nonetheless) I've ever seen in my life! Let me remind you - I was most likely a farm girl who chilaxed w/ horses, sheeps and cows all day long! I was SCARED witless when the elevator started moving. I REFUSED to believe that I was in a moving box!!!!! But after I got used to it, hey - 4500 sq ft of space for me to run around ain't a bad deal. So I lived happily in Melbourne with my grandparents... until a month ago when my grandpa had to have a heart surgery. My grandma didn't feel like she can continue taking good care of me. That is when my super mom stepped in.

She flew in from New York, did all the paperwork, dealt with the very annoying, very unfriendly, very inefficient QANTAS AIRLINE... it was an ORDEAL.

That said, I was very very intimidated when I was sent to the airport, pushed into a little crate and got put in the cargo section of the plan :( that was v. sad.... Plus, I wasn't sure what was happening to me, where I was going. It wasn't fun... But now I'm here.. in NY.... and all I wanted to say is...

I LOVE NEW YORK!!!!!
