Arrival Story:
We adopted Miklos from the Anne Arundel SPCA. He had been a stray that had been picked up and jailed. Because he's a stray, we don't know much about his history, but we think he was probably a puppymill dog that was adopted by a family. When he got too big, then took his collar off and told him to go live on the street. He had never had any toys, and wasn't allowed on the furniture. Here at our house, he's allowed on the furniture if he wants, and he has an entire corner full of toys. He loves to chew on toys, but he lives to go to the dog park and play with other dogs. After wondering what his ancestry was, we purchased a dog DNA test kit for him. The results came back that he was the result of 5 different breeds: German Shepherd, Chow Chow, Greyhound, Siberian Husky, and Poodle. That makes Mr. Miklos a truly one of a kind breed.

Bio:
We decided that Miklos could use a brother or sister. So, we went down the SPCA where we got him from and we picked out two different dogs we thought he'd like. The first one was too rambunctious, and the second one was too scared. The Administrator said "Have I got a dog for you." She brought out Zsoka, and the instant connection was made. Miklos immediately wanted to play with her, she wanted to play with him, and she wanted to lick our faces. We picked Zsoka up a couple of days later.

I found a deer!

Yesterday, my parents took me and my sister on a long walk with 6 other dog pals. Going on a walk is more fun than going to the dog park, because, not only do you get to run and play with other dogs, but you get to see deer!

I was running with my pals when I caught a strange smell ... I smelled a deer! I stopped and looked around, and there she was! She saw me and she started running. Yay! A race!

I ran as fast as I could, but she was just too darn fast. And then my stupid harness got hooked on something. I had to struggle so that my harness wasn't caught anymore. I got a cut right above my eye while I was struggling, but I finally got off the thing that was hooked to my harness. By that time, the deer was long gone.

I heard my mommy and daddy calling for me, so I ran back to them to tell them all about my race. They weren't mad that I didn't win the race, but they were concerned about my eye. They brought along some saline wash and rinsed it, and now I have to have my eye washed every morning. But it was worth it!
