Arrival Story:
Mikey was purchased as a pup as a birthday present for a 5 year old girl who thought bassets were cute. I don't think her parents did a lot of research on what bassets were like. They had no fenced yard and the dad didn't want to neuter the dog. My dad's friends took him in to foster and find a home for him. They were unable to keep him as they already have 2 bassets. When we went to visit my dad, I told them that we had just lost our Yorkie. They talked to me about Mikey and we went to meet him. It was love at first site. We took him home and we fall in love with him more each day. We have had him neutered and microchipped. He has been to his first basset get-together and we look forward to more.

Bio:
Mikey lives with two 3 pound chihuahuas, Ruby and Poco. He shares his food dish with them and loves to romp and play with them. He also shares his bed with a spaniel mix named Sadie Mae Brown Dog. They play all the time. All 3 of my other dogs are always covered with basset drool! He shares his food with everyone, even the cats. However, he will not share treats or pizza. He is a terrible tattletale and none of the other animals can do something bad without him alerting us.
