Quick Bio:

Birthday:
July 12th 2005

Likes:
Playing fetch, going outside, eating, chewing squeaky toys, attacking things.

Pet-Peeves:
When his ball gets stuck under the couch or ottoman, strange noises (and noises he hears everyday), getting a bath or grooming, being put in the kitchen when I leave the house.

Favorite Toy:
A hard rubber squeaky ball-- he can't destroy it, it bouces/rolls, and it SQUEAKS!

Favorite Food:
Treats! I don't give him human food, so I made sure I got a really good kibble-- Nature's Instinct Variety. Have you looked at what's in your dog food? O_o

Favorite Walk:
As long as it's cool or chilly outside he likes to run around. Don't even try taking him out in the heat.

Best Tricks:
Kisses, out, sit, come, inside, and get down. He also stands/walks on his back legs like T. Other than that, I'd have to go w/being the ultimate in fuzziness, and terrorizing T.

Arrival Story:
I was looking for a pom to be a friend for my chi and found his breeder in the paper. I met them at a Target parking lot. He had a brother that looked nearly identical, but the brother had a scrape on his neck, so I picked Caesar. When I got him, Caesar was 1 lb 13 oz and 9 weeks to the day. Full grown, he's just under 9 lbs, so he's a big pom, but still smaller than most cats.

Bio:
Caesar is a total spaz who marks in the house, eats poop, is scared of everything, and doesn't like strangers (ie. people other than me). We're getting along much better now that I keep him in the kitchen while I'm at work-- no more nasty surprises when I get home, lol. It took about 5 years and access to a fenced in yard before he became a "good" dog (I use that term a little loosely, haha).

Forums Motto:
All hail Caesar!

Sick

I don't feel very well today. I was up all night with diarrhea and vomiting. There was even some blood! Mommy called in to work and took me to the vet. They determined that I had Gastro-something-itis and it was making me sick. The vet told mommy that 1 of the causes of this can be stagnant water. This made mommy very upset because on Saturday she found 2 inches of water under her kitchen sink and told the leasing office, but no maintenance men would come out on the weekend. Mommy cleaned up as much of the water as she could, but she couldn't get it all, and it smelled very bad. The maintenance men told her to put a bucket under her sink and said they would come on Monday... but they never did, and I got sick on Monday.

After we got home from the vet, mommy called the leasing office, but they refused to believe that this was at all their fault. They thought that there was no way I could've gotten to water inside a cabinet. Mommy told them the cabinet is wooden, so it isn't water proof. And the entire place was stinking of mildew, so the water wasn't just under the cabinet. Also, the water is a breeding ground for the bacteria which can easily spread.

They said they were sorry (mommy said they didn't really mean it tho), and they'd try to be faster next time. They said they couldn't come out Monday b/c they were fixing 4 air conditioners... in the middle of March! We didn't even have our air conditioner on yesterday. Mommy told them that health concerns should take priority since broken air conditioners don't make people sick. They tried to say they didn't know it was that bad, but mommy had told them both times she had called that there was 2 inches of stagnant stinky water.

Mommy's very upset. She's sorry that I got sick and hopes my sister doesn't get sick, too. She thinks the office doesn't care b/c we're just dogs. But we're mommy's babies. And the office is lucky that a person didn't get sick, or they would be in real trouble.

The vet gave me a shot of fluids and a shot to make me feel better. She sent home some medicine for me and some special food for my upset tummy, but I'm not allowed to eat or drink anything till 6 tonight. *whimper* I'm thirsty now. And I want some food. I haven't thown up since early this morning, so mommy says that's a good sign. The vet said I should be OK soon. I hope so.

The new place

So, I've been in this house for a little over 2 weeks. It's OK, I guess. I've got all the puppy food I can eat and this other dog that I can bite. Her name is Tiegan. Sometimes we play and wrestle, or do tug of war w/the toys, but mostly I like to bite her. She bites me a lot, too, and I think she gets me more than I get her. She used to bark at me alot, but the humans made her stop. She thinks she's so cool b/c she can run super fast and I'm still a little clumsy, but I'll show her 1 day.

It's so unfair that they put me in a pen all day but she gets to run around. Do the humans know how she taunts me while they're gone? The human that calls herself 'mommy' says that I have to stay in the pen b/c I pee on the floor. Well so what? Sometimes I go on the pad. I always manage to go on the pad a little if it means I get a treat. Tiegan told me that she had to stay in that pen for nearly 4 months! I'll go crazy! At least I get to sleep in the bed at night.

The 'mommy' says I'm not loving like Tiegan. She thinks the people that had me before must not have loved on me a lot. Whatever. I ain't no momma's boy. I don't want her picking me up, and holding me, and kissing me all the time. I'm a man. She can cuddle me when I say so. Tiegan loves to sit and sleep on the mommy's lap, but Tiegan doesn't have all the hair that I do. It feels like it's 90 degrees in here! That's why I find a nice cool place to sleep by myself.

The 'daddy' calls me Buddy. I guess he didn't hear the mommy call me Caesar. He says I'm not cool like Tiegan. The mommy says he didn't like Tiegan at 1st either (haha!), and she thinks he'll like me better when I grow up. She says she wishes I'd hurry and grow up, too, b/c she forgot what it was like to have an untrained puppy. What's that supposed to mean? I think I'm getting everyone trained just fine.
