Arrival Story:
Wilbur is finally home with us! We are so excited to have him. One of my teaching co-workers who also happens to be a friend, is a mini dachshund breeder, and I have been interested for about a year in getting one from her, and we finally made the decision to go ahead and get one, when this newest litter was born, in August. We chose Wilbur, the roly-poly one of the bunch! He isn't so roly poly anymore, now that he's grown up a bit, but he is still adorable! He has a very unique color to him that is not quite tan, chocolate or red...so we are kind of waiting to see what one he will end up being as he gets older. :)

Bio:
Wilbur is a purebred Miniature Dachshund puppy. He is CKC and AKC registered and is absolutely adorable! He is the roly-poly one of the bunch, our little piglet--thus, the name Wilbur. :-D (The piggy in Charlotte's Web) Wilbur is very affectionate and lovable. He is still getting used to sleeping alone and being alone for about 5-6 hours during the day while we work, but he is doing really well and has been holding his "duties" quite well! He had a couple accidents his first night, of course, but we take him out after each meal, nap, crate time, etc., and he is just really being good. We love him so much already!
