Arrival Story:
We have wanted to rescue an APBT from the ban in Ontario ever since we found out that the ban would happen. Nietzsche came at just the right time and we were able, through many tiny miracles and several wonderful people, to pull him out of the shelter and transport him all the way to North Carolina. He arrived at his new home on Saturday, September 17th, 2005.

My new life

What a week I've had!!

The food here is weird, but I am getting used to it. I am still sleeping a lot, and when I am awake my new sister is always bugging me to play. She is pretty persistant, but I don't play until I want to. She is a lot of fun, but she gets on my nerves sometimes. The Mom and Dad here are nice. I am trying to see if I can start to manipulate them into giving me some of their food, but thus far they haven't fallen for it yet. I like it here a lot. It's awfully hot outside, but I guess it's worth it to be safe and have a family again.

I'm pooped. But I think I am home. I'm still pretty scared and confused about who wants me and who doesn't, but some people came over to see me today and I didn't have to go in the car with them. I got to play with the people that live here today and they are sort of fun. This place is okay.

Back in the car!

The nice lady who is taking care of me said it was time to start traveling to my new home now. So we are back in the car again! I like to ride in the car, so I guess that's okay.

I still don't understand what I did wrong to make my old family not want me anymore. I loved them very much, and I thought that they loved me. I am sad that they just left me out by that road.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me. First I got dumped by my family, then I ran around outside for a few days. I was scared and lonely. Then I had to live in a cage with a bunch of other dogs in cages. They put me in the back of the shelter where nobody wanted to see me and they said I would probably have to go to sleep because all of Ontario doesn't like me. I hated it in that cage. I kept trying to get out until I hurt my nose, but I couldn't escape.

Then a nice lady came and let me out!! No more cage!!!!! Then I went to the lady's house and jumped over her silly fence because I was so excited to be able to run!! Then I went to another nice lady's house, where my friend Daisy lives. Daisy said that she was my foster sister, and that at my new house I will have a forever sister. I hope that my forever sister is as cool as Daisy is.

Except for the yucky visits to the vet, I have had a good time with my foster family. I am looking forward to my travels being over with and finally being able to settle down in my new house. I will miss my friend Daisy and her nice family, but I will be glad to finally have a home again. It will be good to relax. My foster Mom says I'll be there tomorrow, so I will let you know how I like it in a couple days!
