Our beloved Luke, with help from our Vet, crossed over the rainbow bridge peacefully from home with his family around him. Luke was the most loving best friend a family could ever wish for. He excepted any new furry member to the family with love and patience. When we moved into our new home in 2003, the only problem he had was the stairs since the old house was all on one floor. Luke always had a woofie companion, first a Collie named Raleigh, then a golden retriever sister, Buffy and his loving brother OBI. Several months after OBI crossed the bridge unexpectedly, he met his new baby brother, ICE. They only had 4 months together but we know ICE will be a more loving soul having had Luke as a big brother. Forever he will live in our hearts till we catch up with him at the bridge. He sends all his love to his Dogster friends.

Today I am 12....so hard to believe, seems like yesterday I was just a pup running with my older collie brother, Raleigh. He taught me so much and was my best friend, he made me a better companion towards all our other family. Mommy remembers the day I caught a bright red cardinal in my mouth. I proudly brought it to her when she called and never hurt even a feather. Mommy said release and I dropped it in her hands. It was in a bit of shock but soon recovered and flew away. Mom gave me a big hug, I could feel how proud she was of me. As a matter of fact, she has always been proud to take me anywhere & everywhere. I love the park, I walk in the water with my longer leash. Little kids would run up to pet me not realizing how tall I was till they got closer but quickly they could see I was very friendly. I have heard visitors ask Mommy, why does she spend money and time on us pets instead of fancy clothes, beautiful furniture or expensive jewelry.......she shakes her head, looks at us, smiles and answers......they are my treasures, they are my life. My best present today was Mommies big HUG......I love you too Mommy, .....I love you too.

SNOW! I want to run and play in some SNOW. Is it asking to much for just a few inches after all we only got 2 inches of it so far. Is this going to be the winter that never was? Most of the time it has been in the forties and fifies and mom said a bigger warm up is on the way! Well Saturday is "GROUNDHOG's DAY" and I will be watching to see what his prediction will be, mom wants an early spring but I want SNOW-SNOW-SNOW! Later, Luke
