Bio: Update 2/11/2006-Sigmund crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. His spirit remains in our hearts.*********Update 1/2006- Sigmund had successful follow up to his lung cancer surgery. All of his x-rays were clean. In mid-December, we found a lump on his side. X-Rays revealed that now Sigmund has been stricken with bone cancer. He is on a medication to keep him as comfortable as we can and he sees his vet regularly. We love him so and ask you to keep our boy in your prayers*********Update 9/2005 - Sigmund had a dry cough in May. After antibiotics failed to help, a chest x-ray revealed a mass in his chest the size of a human fist. His cough became painful and he lost his energy.... he was suffocating. We had an inconclusive biopsy and proceeded with an MRI and surgery. He has lung cancer. His surgical recovery was swift and astounded the docs! The docs say they think they got it all and his chest lymph nodes were clean. He is now doing well, has gained back his lost weight, and is acting every bit the crazy dale that he was before he got sick. His follow up x-rays are in a few weeks. Every dog out there: please howl out a prayer that he is cancer-free! *********In the beginning (6/1996)- Sigmund was the lone puppy of his litter when we went to see him. He was so quiet and laid back in the store and all the way home. Boy, did that change! He's our "crazy man" and keeps us on our toes and puts a smile on our faces.
