Clyde was adopted from the SPCA in Boulder, Colorado. My dog, Gatsby, had just died and my boyfriend at the time thought that I needed another dog. He went and got me Clyde. I wasn't sure that I needed another dog just yet, but then learned that Clyde had already been adopted and returned to the shelter three times and if I returned him he'd most likely be euthanized. I couldn't do that to this adorable puppy.
I'm grateful that Clyde waited for me. He's been the best dog a girl could ever hope to have.
Clyde had a stroke in December 2002 and lost the use of both of his hind legs. However, with lots of love and complementary therapies, he's regained all of it and is completely ambulatory now.
Clyde is truly my heart walking around on four paws.
On February 2, 2005, Clyde moved on to his next life.
To say that he was an amazing dog is, quite frankly, not saying enough at all.
I know that those of you who were lucky enough to know him will agree. I also know that he will live on in all of our hearts.
He was very well loved and he loved very well in return.
And he is most certainly already missed.
Rest in Peace, Clyde.
I loved you completely. Thank you for teaching me how to do just that.
