Arrival Story:
Coletrane came into our lives after the loss of my partner's father. He is like an angel sent from above to put a smile back on our faces. We adopted him from the Kent Animal Control Shelter. He was in foster care with his sister who was already spoken for by a 7 year old boy and his family. While Cole's sister was running around the yard like a little wild woman, Coletrane crawled into my lap. The foster parents took a polaroid of the 3 of us to take with us while we "thought about it" -- as if the deal wasn't already done! He is my first dog and the sweetest boy you could imagine-- calm, gentle, quiet (except to alert us to people or dogs outside) loving and silly. Coletrane came into our life when we needed him most. I can't imagine our life without him now. Coletrane & his sister, Hazelnut, have even helped me change careers. I am an aspiring cartoonist -- specializing in dog cartoons!
