Leave a bone for Oscar (In Loving Memory)

Oskie, Sir Bark Alot, Oscar Doodle, Oscar Really Wild

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

June 8th 2005

Being played with and being made a fuss of. To cuddle up on mummies lap when it's nap time. Barking! Attacking/ herding the broom, running really fast. Oh and yes he loves FOOD!

He wants to be the centre of everything so hates it when he's not. Sudden loud noises. Getting his feet wet/ muddy. Having his picture taken ; it takes me 100 pix for one to work out, soon as he see's me go take it he moves!

Favorite Toy:
I have to say this child has a lot of toys. I alternate them around a lot as he's easily bored. But an old time favorite is just an empty mineral water bottle I put on a rope. The cheapest toy EVER but he loves it! ;)

Favorite Food:
fish, apples, cooked baby carrots, scrambled egg and Veggie burgers tons too. Actucally not keen on most meats. Also adores goats milk and blackcurrant juice. Oh and I've found he's nuts over almond oil.

Favorite Walk:
Scareing the pigeons. Where there's a lot of trees so I can play hide and seek with him. He's so good! He always finds me and looks ulterly delighted when he does. :)

Best Tricks:
Has quite a few: sit, down, paw, give kisses , rollover, count, sit stay, down stay, wait, get your ball, hand signals, spin, go arpund my legs.

Arrival Story:
I'd wanted a Sheltie for over 8 years but there was always something in the way to stop me. In 2005 I became determined that this would be the year I'd get a Sheltie. I contacted lots of breeders, a lot were kennel breeders or didn't eye test. So weren't what I was looking for! Then the breeders that did fit both groups either had no litters planed or wouldn't give up there dogs to a londoner. Then by chance I decided to go to a small dog show local to me in the hope of just seeing a Sheltie. On the bus to the show a lady got on with a Sheltie. I got all hyper and made a fuss of the dog and got talking to the owner. I told her I was planing to get a Sheltie soon. She said how soon? I said as soon as I find a breeder. Which is when she told me she was a breeder and had puppies right now. They were too young to go at the time, she put my phone number in her phone and the next day she called me. About two weeks later I went up to hackney, London on the tube just days after the London train bombings. Everything went really well so I put money down for little Oscar and waited for him to be 8 weeks to take him home. The rest is history. :)

Oscar was born in Hackney London, England on the 8th of June 2005. He now lives with me in North West London. Every where he goes he gets lots of attention which he has mixed feelings about seeing he is wary of strangers. He's a very outgoing cheeky dog that never seems to stop until totally puffed out from playing for many hours on end. We play this game where I lay on the floor pretending to be sleep and he pounces on my hair tugging at it and running away before I can catch him. And if I catch him I roll him over and open his mouth with my hands and gentely blow on the roof of his mouth. He then leaps up and runs about the room like a nut, then comes back for more. :) Oscar was rather a pushy puppy to start with, and seemed possibility wild when you tried to cuddle him. However that's all in the past now. He's very loving and devoted, he follows me everywhere... my little shadow. He loves to sleep on my lap and be fussed. When I'd upset he always seems to know just what to do. He stops being cheeky and comes and comforts me, and gently plays. He knows how to cheer me right up and he is great company for me. Going to classes with him has benefited me as well as him. I've got out, seen people... and strangers talk to you when you have a fluffy wonder by your side. :-)

I had an operation ages ago but forgot to tell you all about it. It cost mummy £3,000 ouch! Then just as I was getting better I was attacked by a staffy pit mix and redamaged my leg. I have the worst luck in the world. I had to have yet another operation but I'm pleased to say I now am on the mend. even if mummies pocket isn't. She doesn't care she loves me so much she'd sell the world for me. I'm a lucky wee pupster! :)

Oscar has been having leg issues again, our local vet says he need another operation as his leg has grown wrong. It's paining Oscar. I'm so worried him and I hate to see him in pain.
