Wowsers! It's been many dog years since I've made a diary entry. We've had a really ruff couple years. The MAN was very bad to us and we had to get out of Dodge. We are all in safe places now; Mom, me and the felines. We moved back to Nebraska, our native state, to be closer to our pack.
Mom and me are in Lincoln. Mom can't have pets right now at the place she is staying, but she'll be moving out in a few months so we can all be together. I am staying with this AWESOME couple, Adam and Andrea! They are the bestest! I have a sister now. Her name is Sunny. She is 3 and a yellow Lab. She is so sweet. We play and sleep together. My foster mom Andrea says we are the laziest play dogs she has ever seen. I say we are just being lady-like. I have a new brother cat too, his name is Shiner. He sometimes swats at me from his perch on the couch, just 'cause he feels like it, not 'cause I deserve it. But I still like him.
Bandit and Ditty are with Grandma and Grandpa. They like it there a lot 'cause Grandma has four other cats and two birds. Ditty is causin' lots of hate and discontent. Mom's baby sister, Myrissa who is 13 adores him and wants to keep him. I think we might have to kidnap him to get him back. Of course, the little butterfly dogs are there too which Ditty floor slams. That's funny!
Sunny has never been to the Dog Park before!?! Can you believe that!? Mom is gonna take us today. It's really nice outside, almost 50. There are two dog parks here. I'm so excited. Maybe I can talk Mom into taking us to PetsMart too...
Sloppy kisses,
Cin

We know that April showers bring May flowers, but what do May showers bring???
Bored doggies!
It is really nasty outside here today (well, this whole stupid week really). There is even a wind advisory for this area. We can't believe how cold it is again. So needless to say we are not outside much these days and we're getting bored! Sure we wrestle and play in the house but it's not the same as being outside all day with Mom and watching all of the birds and vermin in the yard. We even had another raccoon get the bird fat that is supposed to be for the birds! BOL! Mom wasn't too happy. Can't blame the 'ol coons though, that bird fat is tasty (shhh, don't tell Mom I've sampled it).
Well, everyone else wants on the 'puter to update their diaries too, so I gotta run.

You heard it kids.
Once lost - Now found.
No - the felines did not get the best of me. We've just been a tad busy around these parts and going through a lot of changes in our household. I'll fill you in on all that in later entries.
I just wanted to make a quick note and say hello - I'm back and well and missing you all very much!
I hope to update my page soon. There have been some great changes to Dogster and so many new faces!
Sloppy kisses,
Cinder

I believe BEDLAM can be defined as:
"a place, scene or state of uproar or confusion"
THAT would most certainly describe this household tonight!
Where shall I start? The felines? Alright, yes, the felines:
Ditto: He is severely intoxicated by catnip, to the point that Mom has threatened rehab and sent him to the laundry room. He was at one point beyond control and flying from the refridgerator to the desk to the kitchen counter to the window and then to the refridgerator again. When he didn't make it he slammed full body into the wall, shook himself off and then flew full speed into the MAN's body. He is out of control, high on organic catnip, which I hear from my sources is super-powered catnip.
Bandit: He has gone seriously schizophrenic, the paranoid version. He has written Mom a ransom note, withholding all his affections until she gets rid of little Guinness, including all traces of hair. How ridiculous is that?!? Not only that, but he has taken to attempting to try to race out the back door every chance he gets; something that scares Mom to death, considering Bandit has no claws and hence, no way to defend himself outdoors. Mom has also awakened in the middle of the night to find him sitting next to her pillow staring at her. She thinks it's cute, but of course, I find this very disturbing and I WILL be watching this behavior closely. If the evil minion attempts anything, he will be destroyed.
Onto to my brudder:
Little Guinness...well, he's been pretty good, except that he doesn't listen to the MAN and it's making the MAN really mad! Guinness knows his name but when the MAN trys to get his attention, he doesn't pay any attention (like, why should he though?). But when Mom talks to him, Guinness listens right away. So today before Mom got home from work the MAN was yelling at Guinness and then Mom caught him (YEAH MOM!) and the Mom was yelling at the MAN and then she put us dogs outside so we wouldn't get upset by all the yelling and then she refused to make the MAN supper and then they started yelling again...'cause WOW does he throw a big fit (WHAT A BABY!) when he's hungry, he he he. It's just been crazy around here! She told him Guinney doesn't listen because to the MAN because Guinney doesn't respect him and because he senses that the MAN doesn't love him like Mom loves him.
Is it a full moon or something? What is with this craziness tonight?
It's almost my bedtime (Sex & the City is on in 1 hour) and Guinness still wants to play and I am so tired. I wish Mom would just put him to bed. *sigh* Old ladies need beauty rest you know.

Guinness is a pain.
The felines call him the Wire Terrorist. They may be right. I mean the kid is fun and all, but he never stops! Mom says she's never seen a pup with so much energy non-stop. The only time he is calm is when he is being held (*sigh* I miss those days) or when he is in the crate. Otherwise, he is bouncing all over the place, from floor to couch, floor to couch, floor to couch.
It's exhausting.
Don't get me wrong, I love my new brudder and I wouldn't let Mom give him back for anything in the world, but he needs to learn what down time is.
Like the other night, Mom and the MAN rented movies and I was very excited because they got the last copy of "Bewitched". I climbed on the couch, snuggled in with Mom, anticipating a great movie, but that darn brudder of mine hopped up and kept trying to get me to play. He bites on my ears and jumps all over me.
You know sometimes a girl just wants to be alone. Is there anything wrong with that?!
Mom eventually put him in his crate because he wouldn't stop bothering me or the felines (who TOTALLY deserve it).
I am so busy with Guinney that I have been seriously neglecting my feline crime investigating duties. I sense they are plotting something. I have overheard them speaking in tongues since Mom brought Guinness home. Bandit is being awfully friendly to the Dit, which surely means something sinister is brewing in his evil mind. I must make an effort this weekend to scope those felines out. Mom is taking Guinney to the spa to get a bath and his nails trimmed, so I should have a little time then.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!
Okay - 'member my last diary I said how my mom came home smelling like other dogs and cats and I was real worried she was gonna bring home more of them stupid feline fosters? And how she had spent the whole weekend away from me and I didn't get my time with her at the Bark Park or anything and how I was hoping she would make it up to me?
Well guess what? She did! Like TEN FOLD... (or whatever that human saying is).
She brought me home a little brother!!! I couldn't figure out why she was so late coming home from work on Tuesday night, until I saw her get out her car and she had this little white and brown fuzzy puppy with her!
We went outside right away and started running around. He is super fast. I don't think he is very old because his teeth don't hurt much when he is chewing on my neck.
I am so excited! I have never had a little brother or sister. Those stinkin' felines don't count. Now I have someone to play with all the time! I had to teach him how to play tug-o-war which is my all time favorite game, but he caught on real fast and now we play it all the time! I did have to establish that I am the boss with the toys though. If I want something he's got, he has to give it to me. That's just the way it has to be because I was here first.
He doesn't have a name yet, so mom said he can't be on Dogster. I guess she's going to let the MAN name him (I guess so he feels like it's his dog too...WHATEVER!). I think he wants to be called Digger. He dug twice in mom's flower pot that was sitting on the deck, but mom didn't scold him because she didn't catch him doing it. But she's knows I wouldn't do that. She was laughing though because he's got this beard (kinda weird for a puppy to already have a beard isn't it?) and it was all muddy. BOL
Mom took some pictures of us playing and she let me put one up on my page so that I could show off my new brother!
Whew! Well, I'm gonna go take a nap. We played really hard this morning from the time mom got up until she left for work. Now, my little bro is in his crate (mom says he's gotta stay in there when she's gone because he has to earn the trust or something like that), so it's back to just me watching them felines. They are napping now, so I better catch some quick ZZZZZ's.
I have to be extra sharp today because mom is giving her beef stew another try and last time was a total disaster with those darn felines (you can look farther back in my diary for that account). She said it's up to me to make sure we get a good supper tonight.
Later my friends!

So, Saturday is usually my day with Mom. We go to the Webster Street Market to have breakfast and shop for antiques, then we go to the Bark Park and later she usually takes me swimming at MetroPark.
Well friends, that is not what happen today, nope, not at all.
She left very early, so early I didn't even get out of bed. The MAN said she was getting a massage. Then she came home and she smelled like other dogs and cats. THAT I don't quite understand! I sure hope she doesn't have some wild idea to bring home more felines. That's what happens though, she starts smelling like other dogs and cats and pretty soon we have some visitors (Mom calls 'em fosters). And they are trouble I'm telling you!
I fully expected she would be taking me to the Bark Park, but noooooo, she changed her clothes and said she was going riding. We don't have a horse, but Bandit said she knows some friends that do and was going to go for a ride.
This just stinks! I got passed up for a HORSE?!? They stink and are loud and always have poop on their paws. Why would she even like them!? It's just not right. This is supposed to be our day.
I sure hope she plans on making it up to me.

Guess what friends??
I got a DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!
Yep, a real driver's license all of my own!
My Mom found this neat site called Chloe's Cards and you can get ID tags for your collars, but they look like a driver's license and they are for your state and everything! It is so cool! We put mine on my collar right away and Mom got an extra one to go on her keychain. My Mom just emailed my picture and put my information on the order form and we got it really fast! I'm so excited! And the best part is that she didn't get any for those felines, hehehe.
She says this by no means indicates I am allowed to drive without supervision though.
She did take some pictures, but we can't figure out how to post them in just the diary entry...so she just posted it above with my other pictures!!
I got a new Pup Pal today too! His name is Champ and he lives in San Antonio, Texas right now, but guess what? He's moving to Dayton next month! He looks like a lot of fun and I hope that I can get a chance to take him to my favorite places and we can play!
Ok, well, I just heard a big crash in the bathroom and I think those felines are at it again so I better go investigate...

Those felines have done it again! Mom started the crockpot with some of her yummy beef stew before she left for work yesterday. I love beef stew and she always shares! That gravy is soooo good. I couldn't wait! But those darn felines screwed everything up!
Shortly after Mom left for work, Ditto started messin' around on the counter by the crockpot. I went in to investigate as those cats are not to be on the counters and it is my job to keep them in line. Bandit was sitting on the floor doing that odd chanting thing he does (I'm convinced it is some sort of feline cult mind control tactic). Ditto was trying to get the lid off the crockpot! I barked really loud as a warning and told him to get down! But then Bandit started coming towards me with his back all arched and walking sideways and that scared me! I don't like when he does that. We watched The Exorcist in bed one night and ever since then I think Bandit is possessed when he does stuff like that. So I ran and went in the bed. I mean really? I am in charge, but I draw the line at being injured on job.
I heard a big KA-BOOM! and then some clattering. I could smell the stew, oh it was so heavenly. Then Ditto came and hopped on the bed and he smelled like stew! And then I started sniffin' him and he had gravy all over his paws! Oh brother I thought, he got in the stew, so I went to investigate. Sure enough, he was in the stew. But, what else did I find? That's right, Bandit! He was in the crockpot when I walked in and he hissed at me and his eyes went all weird. I think he is crazy!
I just waited quietly after that for Mom to get home and when she did, boy was she MAD! She yelled at Ditto, but I think she should have yelled at Bandit too. He had a hand in this. That weird chanting he does has something to do with this. I think he made Ditto do it, so he could get some stew and Ditto would get blamed.
Ditto's a pretty good kid. I mean, he can be a pain and all when I'm trying to nap but he's kind of fun too. Like he will play with me, sometimes we play tug-a-war with my rag bone and he will roll around with me. Bandit used to do that too, but he hasn't for a long time. He got old and grumpy. Mom keeps talking about getting a puppy. I wonder what she means by that? She said I need someone to play with. I can play with Ditto, he thinks he's a dog. If we get a puppy, where is it gonna sleep? 'Cause there's really no more room on the bed.

Well, that pretty much says it all.
My Mom and the MAN were in a bad car accident two weeks ago. My Mom was driving and now our car is wrecked. And it just stinks! No car means no trips to the dog park, no trips to PetsMart, no trips to any festivals, no trips to do any fun stuff!
Mom's driving a car, but it's a rental she said and wet dogs are not allowed. The MAN has a car but he won't allow dogs in it, HUMPF! He always mutters something about claws and leather. Whatever that's all about.
We haven't been doing much walking either because her back hurts. I think this has to be Ditto's fault somehow. He bothers her a lot at night in bed...maybe he's been messing with her back.
I guess we're getting something called a dog walker? Anybody know what that is? It's only supposed to be until Mom is feeling better. I hope it's not some new breed of cat because I really can't handle another feline in the house. I am outnumbered already.
I think we are doing something special this weekend. Saturday is the one year anniversary of our move from Nebraska to Ohio. We drove all this way, me, Mom and Bandit. The MAN was driving his car. That was a pretty fun trip because I got to eat a bunch of stuff I don't usually get, like McDonald's. Hehe. I'll let you know what kind of fun stuff we do this weekend.
