Was looking for a brother to my then dog, Lucas. saw him online and figured, "It's a given. I'm getting another dog!" So the name was easy...
Bio:
I found Given on Petfinder.com. I was looking for a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog (which is what they told me they 'thought' he was. First indication = the people who had him had NO idea what he was.) Anyway, I drove 2 hours to meet him, and there was nothing 'greater' nor 'Swiss' about him. Best I can tell, he's a country mutt- part coon houund, part who knows what. The dog catcher in the county found he and his littermates tied up to a cinder block with towing link- BEHIND A TRAILER. C'mon, people. And though he was not at all what I expected, I knew that he was what I had to have. And that's a Given.
He's still a little mopey sometimes, but overall he has made an incredible adjustment from country dog to city dog, just like his brother Bam!
