Arrival Story:
My partner and I usually do not buy dogs from puppy stores just because of not knowing where they came from. I have to say this store "Puppies Galore and More" in Orange Park/Jacksonville, FL is the greatest and very caring of the animals. The breeders actually bring in the dogs to help them sell. I picked Myles up because he was just the cutest! I fell in love with him and I think he fell in love with me. He was not much bigger than a tennis ball and he was already fetching. He thought he was Mr Tough back then too. I remember taking walks on cold days with him in my front pocket of my hoodie. Myles will be three next week and I am so proud of him. He is my best friend who loves me unconditionally, protects me, snuggles with me all night, my shadow and I can tell him all my secrets, bad days and good days. I don't know what I'd do without him.
Bio:
We just moved to Oak Park, but Myles is a Florida boy just like his mom. I am from Tampa originally, moved to Jacksonville in 2001 and found my little Bubba in 2002. We now live in Hainesville, Illinois which is near Round Lake, Gurnee, Grayslake, etc. It gets colder here and a lot more snow! My partner and I have since broken up but we are still great friends and roommates. She is leaving soon to be transferred to Jacksonville, Florida where she will be stationed. What is really hard is she will be taking Myles' sister Harley. He is going to be heart broken and lost. But, we'll get through it. We are a strong team! I love my little guy and my girl with all my heart. I will miss Harley so very much but I will be seeing here in about 7 months for a parental visit.

Wow! So there is this famous photographer, Amanda Jones, and she takes pictures for my favorite magazine "The Bark." Well, Mommy loves her pictures and is on her email list. So, in the last newsletter Mommy got, they said they were looking for models but you had to be a "mutt" but you had to look like two distinct breeds. So, Mommy sent in my pictures even though she didn't mention Chicago as one of the places she was looking and GUESS WHAT!!!!! SHE PICKED ME! Mommy got an email back that Amanda was going to be in Chicago and that she wanted to take pictures of lil' ole ME for her book "A Breed Apart."
Mommy said I did soooo good! The flash scared me a little but BOOOYY did I ever have a tummy ache later from all the cheese Amanda kept giving me. . Amanda said she HAD to take pictures of me because I was so handsome and because I am very rare. Anyone up for an autograph? haha!

It snowed last Friday night so my mom took me and my sister Harley to the park to play! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! I ran till I couldn't run anymore. I was so thirsty I was eating the snow - not the yellow snow though. Yuk! Haha! I was so happy I just layed down and rolled in the snow! haha! After we ran our little legs off mom took us for a long walk on the bike trail. It was SO PRETTY! I've never seen so much snow. I met Mr. and Mrs. Mallard Duck and a few other dogs. One dog didn't mind his dad and went and jumped in the river. BURRRR! That is too cold! It was a beautiful and fun day. I can't wait to go again!

My sweet little boy is sleeping. He's all pooped out from his busy day. Not sure what he was so busy doing but he wore himself out.
As I lay here watching you sleeping all cuddled up in a ball and head propped up on mom's pillow.. I can't help but think what I would do without my little boy. I'm so glad we brought you home and that you ended up in our loving home. I don't even want to think of where you could have ended up. Sometimes I wonder where you birth sister ended up - I just hope she is in a good home and loved as much as we love you.
Although you give your sister Harley a lot of heck, you know she loves you too Bubba. I love you and Harley so much it hurts sometimes. You really have turned out to be the best "kids" a mom could ask for.
