Managing to escape from his playpen (only took him about a week)...so we now have a crate for him and his brother Chico.
Arrival Story:
We had an ordeal in 2004 (can't remember the exact date) where my grandmother was supposed to give us a Chi and then after my mom and daughter drove like 6 hours to pick it up she said that her husband (not my real grandfather of course) had gotten attached and just didn't know if he could give him up, my daughter immediatly got upset and started crying (she was only 7 at the time) and my mom got angry and went and stayed at my Uncle's house. Then they said ok we could have the puppy then they said no again, they went back and forth a few times (one minute saying we could have him and then the next saying no) but in the end they ended up keeping the puppy, is that rude or what?...of course my daughter was heartbroken. My mom owns Nikolai's parents and had already decided to breed them and she said that we could have one. YAY!
The day that Nikolai was born, my daughter and I stayed at my mom's house and helped get everything ready for Frida's labor. In the wee hours of the morning Frida finally started having her babies and our little boy was the 3rd one born. He weighed 5ozs and was the only chocolate/white/tan one in the litter, the rest were black/white/tan. We picked him that day. The great thing about my mom owning the parents is that we got to be involved from day 1 and he was used to us by the time he came home.
Well, we had to wait a little over a year but we now have our little boy Nikolai and he was well worth the wait.
Bio:

Nikolai was named after Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American inventor and researcher who discovered the rotating magnetic field(the basis of most alternating-current machinery), a telephone repeater, polyphase alternating-current system, induction motor, alternating-current power transmission, Tesla coil transformer, wireless communication, radio, fluorescent lights, and more than 700 other patents.
His full registered name is "Angelito Nikolai de Fe Cielo"
Which means "Little Angel Nikolai of Faith Skye"
Nikolai was recently diagnosed with Parvo, even though he had all of his shots. The vet just did the test on a whim (he wasn't even going to charge us because he was doing it for his own piece of mind) because he just felt like there was something not right about how he was acting. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful vet who took the time to run extra tests. We had a rough few days not knowing whether our little guy was going to make it or not. He has finally come home, very very skinny, but looks like he is on the mend.
It was a very scary ordeal for all but our little Nikolai is a fighter and he fought very hard to get rid of the awful virus and come home to us.

My new home is so much FUN!
My humom has these really great chew toys that she calls....um shoes yeah I think that's what she calls them....it's weird though she never seems very happy when I chew on them...oh well anyway she seems to have an endless supply so I'm happy.
Oh and my lizard, I chew on him a lot too, he's falling apart now though but I like him so much that humom can't make herself get rid of it just yet.
And then there is the cow....and you know what? HE SQUEAKS! That's what. Can you believe it? I mean WOW! it really SQUEAKS! It is so cool....you should see it.
My humom bought a special playpen for me and my brother, Chico, but I tore it up....oh yeah, that was so much fun....so now we have a new crate and we get to snuggle up together in a nice soft bed all day and then play with our people and even sleep with them at night.
It has.....hey wait....what was that? Did you hear that? There it is again! You still don't hear that? Listen close.......hear it?

My humom asked someone to make me something called a coat. I'm not sure why it's called that but it sure is warm. She came to see me today and tried it on me and it was very warm. She says that it will be great for when there is snow outside, whatever that is.
I'm having so much fun now. I play all the time and we have some really neat toys. I don't get to drink much milk now but I have been eating new puppy food which is really yummy.
*yawn* well, I'm tired now....sleepy time.

My people keep giving us this brown mushy stuff to lick. It tastes good I guess my sister really likes it and so do my brothers but me I would rather have the stuff that mommy feeds us.
I have learned how to make these neat noises (the people call it barking and growling). My brothers and sister and I do these noises lots. Did you know that it's really fun to chew on things? I mean wow who knew how much fun you could have just from biting stuff!
I'm really starting to like it when the people hold me and pet me. I curl up on their chests and close my eyes....it's really nice.
