   Leave a bone for Zoe

Zo Zo, Zoe-toes, Teddy-Face, Toesy-Face, Pudgieface, Face

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

March 10th 1997

Playing (by herself or with company, she's not picky...), chasing groundhogs and anything else that will run from her, getting my attention by sticking her toes out behind her, running away

not being The Boss, dogs who think they are boss

Favorite Toy:
Tennis Balls! Basketballs! Soccerballs! Sticks! Chasing all of said things. She used to love a squeaky teddy but she shredded it sooo many times...

Favorite Food:
Zoe isn't terribly interested in food, even if she can catch it. But she'll generally eat whatever is offered to her.

Favorite Walk:
Down by the river. However, if for any reason Zoe bolts after a suspicious dinner-type animal, her walk tends to... vary.

Best Tricks:
lying down in the puppy frog position with her toes sticking out behind her. She knows it will get her lots of attention from a Certain Individual (me).

Arrival Story:
Zoe was rescued from a local kill-shelter. My family had recently lost a dog and had been with two for a while, but it felt like The Right Number was 3. So my mom and I stopped to look, "just look," and walked a few dogs. We offered Zoe a treat but she wasn't interested; however, when I knealt down to try again she was soooo happy to say hi that we knew right then that she'd picked us. I am not currently her guardian, as I have moved 3,000 miles from home, but I love her and miss her BUNCHES, and she's just so darned cute she simply HAD to be on dogster!

Zoe is ALPHA. Very Alpha. She respects humans as being alpha over her, but she demands it of all other dogs. Zoe was probably a cat in her last life; she likes to rub herself up against your legs as a cat would, and likes to lie on the picnic table in a very Sphynx type position. Zoe is built like a Mac truck in front and a small dog in the rear and has no idea she is not the biggest dog in the world. If there is no one to play ball WITH her, Zoe is quite content to play by herself. She'll "accidentally drop" the ball, and then chase it when it goes bouncing off. If the tennis ball is present, no other ball will do, but if it is absent, ANY ball becomes a groundhog-type creature of Great Evil.
