My mommy feeds me a little bit of canned food mixed with Nature's Variety dry and a lot of water. She also gives me these wonderful little Old Mother Hubbard biscuits!

Arrival Story:
My new mommy had been on petfinder (yet again) looking for a senior female pit bull. She loves seniors, loves pit bulls, and needed a girl that would get along with her other doggies. She saw me and thought I was just the cutest (which I am). The wonderful staff and volunteers at the shelter over 4 hours away from my mommy drove me to her.

Bio:
My mommy says I deserve to retire in a nice, comfortable place, not in an animal shelter! She says I am a silly, stubborn old girl, and that I need to learn to trust her because she will not hurt me. I have been hurt so much in the past that it will be hard, but I am trying! The shelter took good care of me, but this is all new to me so it will take time. At least here the floor is soft, and I have a nice bed and plenty of food. I can't remember my past all that well, but the shelter said I was "seized" from a very bad situation. The shelter got me spayed, something that should have happened 14 years ago! Now I don't have to worry about puppies anymore, or something called pyometria, which I heard hurts A LOT and could make a doggie die! *Ellie Mae passed away in my arms October 21st, 2005 - only a month and a half after being adopted.
