Arrival Story:
Dec 2002, as we were getting ready to go to Las Vegas, I was feeding the feral cats in the backyard and spotted baby eating the dry cat food. I screamed at her and she went flying under our house. I told my son to get her out of there and turn her into the animal shelter since I was afraid of pit bulls. We were gone a week. When we got home, my son had already brought her into our house, and my husband was not a happy camper about this. My son pleaded with us to let her stay the night so that we could see how mellow she was. She also knew tricks like shake, roll over and speak. It was obvious she was well cared for. Baby is the most gentle souled dog I have ever known, she wouldnt hurt a fly. We became very attached to baby, and I tried less and less to find her real owners. Six months later, our neighbors told us they located baby's owners. WE WERE HEARTBROKEN. Then the neighbors informed us that the owners didnt want her back since she was such a big baby, they wanted a real mean spirited dog. why you ask? because they are not nice people. In any case, baby is now ours and we love her to death. Who ever raised her from birth did a fantastic job, but we never would of given her back to the bad people that owned her. We are glad god sent her to us, and that my son did not do as i instructed and take her to the animal shelter. Baby is the most meek and mild dog on the planet, but her prescence on the sidewalk intimidates most people. Only thing baby would do to a stranger is lick them to death.

Not being sure of her age, the vet estimates her around 7-8 years. she is most likely an american staffordshire mix judging by her conformation and size. Our Baby passed away this summer with cancer. We never knew she had it until it was too far gone to treat. We love and miss her every single day. But now, she is running and sunning herself with all the dog chews she can eat. God bless you Baby for the love you brought into our house, the short time we had you.
