Arrival Story:
Sheree was rescued from a breeder who left her to die. She had an abscess in her mouth and it was coming out through her cheek. She was plaged with huge mammary tumors and was heartworm positive. Sheree was almost totally blind as she had cataracts. But the breeder kept on breeding her! I adopted Sheree and the same evening I had to take her to the Emergency Pet Hospital. There I was told she had congestive heart failure. We had a wonderful 3 1/2 months together as she let me know it was time to go. My heart is still grieving for Sheree and I have no regrets to have adopted her.

Bio:
Sheree was a one-in-a-million dog. The type you never forget. She came to live in her forever home on Oct. 31, 2004 and on Feb. 19, 2005, I had to say goodbye to my sweet Sheree. I know she is close to us and looks after Silky and the ones who came to live here after she crossed the Bridge. Sweet Sheree, you will be in my heart forever...

My rescue group needs donations and foster homes!

Mom told me she founded Sheree's Dog Rescue in my honor. Isn't that cool? Her volunteers and her have found homes for very many dogs along the years. Lately, they have been swamped. So many dogs came in rescue and there are so few foster homes to take them.

Not only do we need foster homes but we need financial help. Some of the dogs who came in were injured or very ill, aside from the regular vetting that is being done.

If I could, I would send a bucket of gold coins from the Bridge for mom and her volunteers to treat these dogs, but there are no gold coins here. That's an earthly thing to pay with coins. We don't need them were we are; everything is fun and free!

Please help the babies in my rescue get the medical attention they need.

It all started when your human sister, Sabrina, saw your cute face on a rescue website. She called me immediately to tell me to check you out. The minute I saw your face, I knew you belonged in our home. You had been rescued from a terrible life in a puppy mill. You were found on the cement floor of a breeding place, left to die, in an awful health condition.

Although you were already a senior and had a heart condition and you were blind, I knew you belonged to us. We adopted you on October 31, 2004. You had many health issues to overcome and brought joy to our house for the short time you were with Silky and I. Your furry sister loved, guided and protected you constantly. You were my "pretty blond", my sweet Sheree.

You let us know it was time for you to go to a better place and be relieved of your pain on February 19, 2005. Although you were with us only a short 3 1/2 months, you made a lasting effect in our lives. You inspired us to start Sheree's Dog Rescue. To this day, I miss you. You had a tremendous impact on me and I learned from you, Sheree. I know we will be together again with your siblings across the Rainbow Bridge someday.

You will always be mama's "pretty blond", so dear to my heart.
