Birthday: March 12th 2002 Likes: Sitting on Chris' head, licking ears (ewww) tearing up toys, playing with and pestering Gabe, chasing squirrels and best of all going for rides in the car with her head out the window wearing her neon yellow Doggles! Pet-Peeves: She does NOT like getting wet or taking a bath. Favorite Toy: Any toy she can shake to death, tear the stuffing out of or play tug with Gabe with. She will also play fetch with a ball from time to time. Favorite Food: She's a fussy eater but likes human food (what dog doesn't?), cream cheese, peanut butter, milk, coffee and green beans! Favorite Walk: Anywhere outside! Best Tricks: Gizmo sits up and begs and it's so cute. She knows she can use it to get her way most of the time. Arrival Story: Gizmo came from a puppy mill. The pet store she was in was filthy and disgusting. She was very sick so they sold her to me for next to nothing. I think they thought she'd die. She was VERY sick but made a full recovery. She was so funny looking that she was cute. She just had to stay. Bio: Gizmo was the first dog my son & I had together. We were on the waiting list for a service dog and got her in the meantime. Gizmo is very attached to Chris and loves to sit on his head like a hat and lick his ears which makes him laugh. Everyone who sees her falls in love with her and asks where to get one. It took forever to figure out what she was. I found out her mamma was a Shih Tzu and daddy was supposed to be a Maltese and had sired part of the litter but there was a male Yorkie around at the time and he must have had a secret date with mamma! Gizmo's one of a kind we adore her!
We just found out that Gizmo is now a "Designer Breed!" The mix is now called a "Shorkie" and they sell for a ton of money.
