Favorite Walk:
Running up the road to Grandma's, then turning around and coming back. He has to sniff his way there now, since he can't see very good at all.

Best Tricks:
On your mark, get set, Go!-When you say "on your mark", Spike will stand beside you. When you then say "get set", Spike will then lower himself, readying himself to run. Then when you say "Go!" He takes off running like its a race.

Arrival Story:
Our last dog had died and our dad told us no more dogs. He didn't want to take care of them. Well, a few years passed and then one day Dad came home with a little terrier puppy under his arm. He was so tiny and so cute. He came as such a surprise. He was also so friendly, wagging his tail around. We paid a lot of attention to him and I wanted him to sleep with me that night in my room. Only, I didn't get much sleep because the puppy kept whining and moving around. I eventually stuck him in my sister's room. Later, my dad took him outside.

Bio:
When I was in high school, we were all out taking care of the garden and a man pulled up to our driveway. He said, "I think I hit someone's dog." We looked out to the road and recognized it immediately. My sister and I said, "Oh my god, Spike." The man was very very sad about it and kept apologizing, saying the dog just jumped out of the ditch-whichwas true, Spike always did that and we always worried he would get hit. My dad said it was all right and he went up the road in the truck to pick him up. When he had Spike in the trunk, he told my grandpa, "I think he's still alive. Would it be worth it for me to go to the vet?" Well, he decided he did and he drove Spike the 30 miles to the Vet in the trunk. Spike had one eye that had popped out and was hanging by its retina. Half of his skull looked like it was caved in. The vet, however, fixed him up, put his eye back in, and within a week Spike came home. He couldn't walk for another week or so, but within no time Spikey was back. Now that the years have past he can't see out of either eye anymore, and he has a tumor on the top of his head. You would never know it,cuz he is always running around and we all agree that this is one tough doggie. Spike died April 11th after being hit by a car. We are all going to miss him.
