Arrival Story:
On June 21, 2003, we lost our Yorkie, Sweet Pea (pictured below in trunk of car). She had been with us for 17 years and was a wonderful member of the family. We decided to get another female Yorkie. Sweet Pea could never be replaced but female Yorkies are so loving, independent, cute, and spirited and we knew another girl was just what we needed to complete our family. Since Pockets, our male cat, had been raised with Sweet Pea we thought he would be more receptive to a female puppy. We started going to dog shows to make Yorkie breeder contacts. We met several wonderful Yorkie lovers. Finally we found a Yorkie puppy, but it was a boy. We put a contract on the little fellow and were very excited as we would be the parents of a new Yorkie soon. But after a few days the realization set in that we would be doing the puppy a disservice as we really wanted a girl and all his life he would be second best. Also we were worried about how Pockets would accept a male puppy. So, we cancelled the contract. Fortunately, our vet had been on the look out for a female Yorkie and found one for us. Thus, we became the parents of Kibbi and once again enjoy the love and devotation of these marvelous little dogs.

Bio:
Kibbi likes to go to doggie day care. There she plays most often with two yorkies, an American Eskimo, a daschund, and a miniature pinscher. At home Kibbi likes to tease Pockets the cat. Every morning Kibbi barks at Pockets and Pockets taps her on the head. Then Kibbi barks and Pockets taps again. Kibbi could play this game all day, but Pockets being a cat soon tires of the game. ***The picture of the silver Yorkie sitting is Kibbi's Mom, Sunny. The cat is Pockets, Kibbi's housemate and playmate.*** On February 20, 2009 after a brief illness our sweet and wonderful Kibbi left us and is now at peace. She is GREATLY lived and missed.
