Arrival Story:
We found Missy for sale in Westmoreland, about seventy miles from where we live. Mom drove there one night in June, 1994, looking for a certain puppy, and it was immediately obvious that Missy was that puppy. The term "sick as a dog" certainly applied to Missy's first car ride. She hated every minute of it, and she never did acquire a taste for riding. What she did acquire was the love and hearts of our entire family, but expecially Daddy, from the moment she came into our lives. She slept with her head in his shoe as a puppy, and she still sleeps as close to him as possible
Bio:
Missy was a part of our family for thirteen years and eight months. Sadly, she developed serious age related health problems and became paralyzed in her back legs. She was in such horrible pain that the kindest and most loving thing we could do for her was to release her from her elderly, broken body. On December30, 2007, Missy went to the Rainbow Bridge to be with her beautiful sister, Abby. Missy left behind a legacy of love that most of the human species could learn from. She will always own a special place in our lives and our hearts.
