Likes: She likes to explore and she likes to hang out by the fire watching movies with her people.

Pet-Peeves: She can't quite figure cats out.

Favorite Toy: She likes watching the other dogs play tug (from up close)

Favorite Food: She eats Innova.

Favorite Walk: She plays on the property.

Best Tricks: She knows how to sit, but only for treats :o)

Arrival Story: She was on the euthanasia list at the Merced shelter, so they called and asked if we could take her.

Bio: Pippi is the sweetest little girl. She has an adorable little stout round body. She has a baby face even though she's already an adult, and she is mellow enough to hang out with my 2- and 4- year-old nephews. She may not be great with cats as she is a little too interested.

Pippi was a foster here for five months. She was such a sweet, happy little girl. It's hard to think we're never going to see her again. But, we'll keep on truckin' with the rescue. There are a lot of very deserving death row pups needing a chance for a forever home, and meeting the incredibly sweet pups that came up on the last transport, we know that Pippi's memory would be best honored by finding great homes for as many as possible.
But we will miss that little girl. She had a way of reeling you in with those sweet, intense eyes of hers. There will never be another Pippipants. Never.
"And at night you will look up at the stars. Where I live everything is so small that I cannot show you where my star is to be found. It is better, like that. My star will just be one of the stars, for you. And so you will love to watch all the stars in the heavens . . . they will all be your friends.
"In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night . . . You--only you--will have stars that can laugh!"
And he laughed again.
"And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend. You will want to laugh with me. And you will sometimes open your window, so, for that pleasure . . . And your friends will be properly astonished to see you laughing as you look up at the sky! Then you will say to them, 'Yes, the stars always make me laugh!' And they will think you are crazy. It will be a very shabby trick that I shall have played on you . . ."
And he laughed again.
"It will be as if, in place of the stars, I had given you a great number of little bells that knew how to laugh . . ." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Little Prince
