Arrival Story:
We had one chocolate lab that we had acquired as a companion for our older dog (who since passed away) and wanted a companion for our pup. Our breeder found out that one of her dogs had been turned into the local humane society and called to let us know (we had been thinking of a slightly older dog) I went to see Sam right away and fell in love. Unfortunately, there were others ahead of me on the list to adopt him. The first adoption fell through, and since we already had a lab (who was actually Sam's half brother!) and the breeder recommended us, they decided to place Sam with us. He can be a little trying at times (likes shoes, towels, etc) but he is such a snuggler, you can't stay mad for long. He loves to come up on the bed, snuggle his head into my neck and lay on top of me. His whole body shakes, as he wags his tail. All you need to do is look at him and he wags his tail. I swear he even smiles.
