Arrival Story:
Phoebe was a rescue dog at Pet Orphans (www.petorphans.com) in Atlanta, GA. She was originally picked up on the streets by the Humane Society. They took her to the pound, where she came very close to being put down because she was pregnant.
Luckily, Pet Orphans saved her, and she had her puppies (4) by c-section. They discovered that she also had a case of heartworms. Phoebe went through the treatment like a trooper and has been fixed. Now she's very healthy and happy.
I was lucky enough to adopt her. She's been the best dog and I can't imagine life without her.
