My new home

THE CAST IS OFF!!!

Well, hi all-lots of new stuff to tell ya-my cast is off and I am a freeman!!!! Wow was that thing hot in the end.Mom took me to the vet for a checkup after the softsplint was put on and she said it was rubbing into my leg and making it get sore so she said off it comes-I couldn't believe my little helicopter ears!!!! So I have been gradually more active...my mom says, ok Cody-otie, time to go in and it's ALWAYS just when it gets good outside in the yard...but mom knows best, I guess!!!! So I listen and go in. Another new thing is...I am finally a good boy with my kitty sibling, the redheaded devil!!!! We can be n the same room together and I now sleep upstairs with my boy or my mom and dad-whichever is the quietest. I am still crated in the daytime when everyone is at work and school but mom says only till she feels more comfy about me and the redhead being alone together...so I am trying to be careful when I herd him around so mom knows I am trying real hard....secretly, he and I are planning a BIG party my first day out, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I'll letcha know when so you can try to make it, though....byebye for now!!!!

Hi friends...woofwoof!!! I am here to tell you all the exciting things happening to me in the last 2 1/2 wks...I celebrated 2 wks on Friday with my new family already...let me tell you....I just adore my boy!!!! Now I have been a good boy, no messes in the house since I arrived, no trouble at all....they love me!!!! I went for a visit with my foster mommy for a slumber party on Sat all day and night cuz my new family had to go away for the day and were afraid to let me all alone already. I had a blast with my old friends out there....all those pretty little sheltie girls....bow wow!!!! My foster mommy told my new mommy I was the perfect gentleman and behaved so nicely....I am welcome to visit out there anytime...she keeps getting doggies all the time...wish I could hook them all up with families like mine...oh well, and here's the latest...my feline siblings weren't sure about me, nor I, about them and mommy kept having these dates with them, only I had to be leashed or muzzled and I got all excited even after they went back upstairs, well tonight, my mommy opened the stairdoor and left that redheaded little brother just strut on down. We sniffed eachother, and I proved to mommy that I wouldn't hurt him, so guess what????????
She left that stairdoor open...I went up a few times and checked in on the little furballs, and then came back down, she knows I am trying to be nice, I just have this instinct in me to herd them to where I want them to be!!!! Mommy understands and is trying to give us all time to be friends in our own way and so far, so good!!!! Well, this Friday is 3 wks here, and I am the happiest guy in the world since they came along and found me....spread the word to other good families that there are plenty of friends of mine out there at the rescue home waiting for them and keep them in your prayers everynight that they find a good family like me...till then, hope all my canine friends are as happy as I am!!!! I am such a lucky guy!!!

Hi, friends, just wanted to give you a little update of my new life, here. I had a bum jump out a window with my former family, and for some reason, I landed in a kill shelter for a while. They were getting tired of feeding me and they made a call to a very nice lady who normally rescues Shelties and Collies, but had the biggest heart. If you're interested in talking to her about her rescue org, or want to know if she has anyone you'd be interested in...email her at ywetzel@bucknell.edu, and her organization is called Far Point Collie Rescue. She came to resue me before anything bad could happen!!!! Oh how I loved her and left her know it everyday, just how grateful I was to her!!!! She took me right to the DR's on the way to her house, and got my broken leg looked at and new medicine, and shots, and got me a good checkup before going home. She had me a week when this lady emailed her and told her how she had lost her wonderful border collie to a sudden bowel obstruction in June and soooooooooooooo needed a new friend to wound her broken heart. So this cool foster mommy responded and set up a meeting with the lady and her family for that very night. I met them around 430 in the afternoon and I was a little nervous, I have to tell you, cuz I was liking my foster mommy pretty good, never left her side, followed her everywhere all the time!!! But this family, they had a boy!!!! A boy about 12 yrs old and a daddy and a mommy, and later, I found out they had a big sister too!!!! WOW!!!! They liked me, I kissed the boy, and he melted....I am soooo good at winning them over that they tell my foster mommy they really like me, and sit and visit with her for a long time. What's that I hear???? You want to take him home???? Oh my gosh!!!!! They love me? WOW, that was too easy!!!! I go for a ride through the country, then into the next town, and we go up on this porch and my new mommy puts a muzzle on me and I walk in the house, and there are 2 kitty cats, I madly dash toward them and they run up the steps. I knock over a few things in the process, but my new mommy is so smart...if she wouldn't have put on that muzzle, I may have had a snack!!!! So I am here a little over a week now, and I keep hearing them say what a keeper I am, they talk to my foster mommy alot and tell her what a good boy I am and all, but I just love them so much that it's easy to be a good boy. If I could only get it in my head that I have these kitty siblings and mommy wants me to get along with them so much....I am trying but they are so much fun to herd and chase that I forget to be nice...so mommy works on it with me, and keeps telling me someday you will be able to sleep with your boy in his bed when you learn to treat you kitty siblings nicer....boy I am trying hard cuz my boy has a big queensize bed that we could share and then I could keep an eye out on the family as they sleep.....I'll keep you posted on how it goes, but so far, I am happier than I have ever been and my mommy keeps bringing me new toys almost everytime she goes to the store. And this next week, I go back to the DR and maybe I'll have my cast taken off so I can REALLY play with my boy in the yard and go for long walks!!! I am such a lucky guy!!!!!!
