Arrival Story:
Maximus is a pup who was abandoned by a family that moved out overnight. He's a wonderful guy, who loves everyone and everything. He's very gentle with our old blind dog, but loves to play with Turner our boxer mix. Maximus found a home 2 weeks prior to Christmas. He's got a great family with a child and a fenced yard to play in, we also heard that he's got a female dog of the same mix across the street... He will be a large dog when he reaches his full potential. He's 9 months and approx 75 pounds.
Bio:
We placed Max in rescue through Dog Paw Rescue Inc. It seemed like he had the infamous Black Dog syndrome. So we set him up for a long foster. Just when we thought it would be a while we got an e-mail from a wonderful family about 2 hours away. They filled out our application, passed the house inspection and are currently taking Max to obedience lessons. We were so happy he found a wonderful home where he's got a girlfriend across the street and a young boy who simply adores him.

Maximus has been with his new family for almost a year now, he's doing wonderfully!! He has a dog friend of the same mix across the street. Whenever they see each other they have to go say Hi!! He's grown to about 85-90 pounds and is an absolute joy with his family.
We were so lucky to save this guy through our rescue!!
