Stinky fun, NOT??

Well, I did it again. We were on our morning walk but this time on the Salt Marsh Trail. I went into some bushes and when I came out my mom yelled OH NO NOT AGAIN. Yup. I rolled in a big pile of soft yellow poop so me and my harness were covered. This time she really wasn't nice. She put a couple of poop bags over her hands and carried me into the woods where she dumped me in a roaring river for an on site bath. It was not pleasant, really cold. I got another bath when I got home. It is really hard not to, but maybe rolling in stinky stuff isn't that great. Nah, of course it is. It's what we do, right?

Stinky Fun

This morning we went for our morning walk at the beach. We haven't been there for a couple of days because of the snow. Anyhow Bailey ran ahead of us, dropped his stick, and started running around in circles. Then he rolled on the ground in something that my mom knew wasn't good. My mom yelled at him and he came back but with a new smell - dead fox. Yup there was a dead fox and he found it. She wiped his back with some snow and we continued on our walk. A bit later I went into some bushes and when I came out my mom was really mad. I had rolled in some soft gooey poop and it was all over my coat. My mom threw my coat in the ocean to try and clean it off but she ended up throwing it in the garbage. Can you believe it! That was an excellent stinky coat! After we got home things got much worse. Mom wouldn't let us in the house until we had a bath so we had a quick one out in the cold. Bailey didn't seem to mind but he goes in the ocean in the middle of winter. I thought it was torture. Maybe I need to rethink the goodness of stinky things.

Out the Window

I did something really dumb last week although it was really my mom's fault. We were driving slowly down the dirt road to the beach and I scratched on the window, like I always do, to let my mom know I wanted to stick my nose out. I guess she was distracted because she pushed the button so the window went all the way down. I knew there was a big dog out there that I had to let know who is the beach boss because I saw him as we drove by the outer parking lot so I decided to do it right then. The thing is I had my seat belt and harness on so I simply ended up dangling out the window. My mom and dad were sure surprised but I don't think Bailey even noticed. I was a bit shocked myself since that wasn't quite what I had in mind when I made the leap. My mom didn't have a camera so she made me do a reenactment once we got home (picture on my page). Now my seat belt is much shorter and I can't have the window open. I guess my flying days are over.
