My Tail of Devotion for Pepper Silky Terrier RIPJanuary 3rd 2008 2:28 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
![]() On that April day, when the rain was pouring, we found you wandering on a very busy highway. You were blind, had horrible teeth and were hungry. When we picked you up, the first thing you did was give us kisses. You had just imprinted your paw on my heart. We adopted you at the young age of 11 and you had cataract surgery. I will always remember the day you came out of the hospital and you could finally hear AND see me. You were so happy and covered me with kisses. That was worth millions. You were my shadow Pepper Boy, a busy body, following me around everywhere I went. All you wanted was to be with mom and to eat! We adored you and affectionately nicknamed you "Buns of Steel", as you would walk around and followed me constantly. You were the most lovable and loving boy. On September 24, 2007, you told it was time for you to go and join your siblings sisters Silky, Sheree, Precious, Suyin and Onyx. Could you believe I still hear you bark for food, Pepper? I do. I miss my Pepper Boy. We will be together again and you will follow me around forever my boy. I love you Pepper, Mom (Linda)
New Year Pawty at the BridgeJanuary 2nd 2008 6:51 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
OMD! My siblings and myself had a pawty for the New Year yesterday. There was quite a bunch of us furiends and we danced and ran ourselves out of breath. The food was wonderful; the BBQ was red hot and steaks were sizzling! Oooohhhh! The apetizing smell of steak... and bones and potatoes.
I met my siblings at the Bridge this morningSeptember 24th 2007 9:40 am[ Leave A Comment ]
My kidneys were shutting down and mama was told I had a brain tumor. My heart was so tired and I had several seizures this weekend. This morning mom took me to my daily visit to the vet and I gave her a sign that I didn't want this anymore. The vet helped me cross the Bridge and I was in mama's arms the whole time. I joined Silky, Sheree, Precious, Suyin, Onyx and Panda, my angels siblings at the Bridge, very quietly in my mom loving arms.
Café Is Being Difficult!September 2nd 2007 7:07 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Boy! Café jumped in my bowl tonight at dinner time. He was so obnoxious, I backed off from my own food. Mom corrected him but he wouldn't have it. My human sis picked him up and took him away and he tried to bite her big time! Mom prepared me more food after she put Café on the patio, away from the food and me. Café wants everyone's food all the time. Mom thinks he's not feeling well after his teeth were pulled out on Friday. She said, since the surgery, he is not his old self.
It's Soleil Shih Tzu's Birthday!July 1st 2007 5:57 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Today is my sis Soleil, birthday and she is 12. Mom says she still acts and plays like a pup. All I can say, and I know for a fact my siblings will agree with me, is SHE SNORES LIKE AN ENGINE! Even mama has to wear earplugs at night because Soleil disturbs her sleep. My bed is next to Soleil's! Can you imagine what I go through at night?
I'm doing better.June 5th 2007 1:51 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I am feeling better after my scary episode. I am spoiled silly. No complaints here! What I need to complain about is that mom will not let me climb up the stairway to her office as I used to. She wants to make sure I feel good enough to do that. I'm fine, I'm OK! I barked it to her all morning. Do you think mama listens to me? Noooo! She blocked the stairway with a baby gate!!
I gave mom a scare todayJune 2nd 2007 8:27 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Yep! She told me so after it happened. I climbed up the stairway to her home office to join the pack, mom and my human sister. Well, I don't know how it happened but I suddenly felt faint and I fell on my side. I felt limp and started to shake a little. My bladder and bowels emptied and mom grabbed the phone while my human sis rubbed my back and called my name. My siblings were all around me to comfort me.
Vestibular DiseaseNovember 16th 2006 10:45 am[ Leave A Comment ]
A few days ago, Pepper woke up and felt all dizzy. He couldn't walk properly and his head wobbled around. His eyes were in constant movement. We took him to the vet right away and were told our little boy had Vestibular Disease. Noone knows what causes it and it goes away as it came. We just don't know how long Pepper will have this illness. It could be anywhere from 72 hours to 14 days.
