Thanksgiving 2006

Woof! Another Thanksgiving for me and Mariel and Adam! This time we're going down to see Mariel's parents in Napa, CA. I will try to be good in the car, but I get so nervous!

Summer time!

Yay! I can emerge from the doom and gloom bedroom and play in the sunshine.

Mom's off to Toronto!

I will miss Mom again as she leaves on another trip. This is one for work, so I can't go, because she says normally I will get to go with her! I'm so excited! But I'm sad she'll be gone for five whole days!

We might even go to the coast soon! Yay, Oregon Coast!

New toy!!!

Yes! Auntie Aisling brought home a plush soccer ball complete with squeaker! I can't seem to kill it, but last night, Mom kept calling me "Border Collie" because I was playing fetch with her. She was trying to knit, and I kept dropping my new soccer ball in her lap. What's so wierd about that? And when you throw the ball, I like to trot my way over too it. It's kind of a hide-n-seek game, because you're supposed to try to throw it somewhere I can't get to easily.
On Thanksgiving, we went to Siabhan's house. There I met Pup-pup and Tater, two fun-loving JRT's. The fun never stopped with me and Tater, what a cutie-pie! And Bosco and Elie came too. It was a doggie holiday, to be sure!

HOWL-o-ween!!

I went to my very first "howloween" party last night with Mom and Dad. I was a prisoner and my hat said "bad dog" on it. Mom promises she'll get pictures of me soon posted to dogster.

I'm also very excited because Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the Vice President's Cheif of Staff, was indicted on 5 counts this morning! The Bush regime is crumbling before our very eyes. Soon, my bretheren who have long suffered from poverty, made worse by our government officials ignoring the ones who got hurt and stranded, even died, in all those hurricanes, will be free of all the oppression caused by this administration. Sorry, politics comes from mom. She always has a lot to say about liars.

Tonight is pumpkin carving night. Can't wait!!!

Another Day at the Office

Today I'm at work with mom so she can take me to daycare!!!! We leave here at 10:45 am. I am so excited. Everyone at the office seems pretty nice. Jack likes me.

I sure hope my cat-sister Eleanor gets better! She seems herself now, but for a minute there, I was gettin' scared.

I also can't wait until Halloween! This will be my first one with my new people. I think I'm going to dress up for my daycare costume party.

i'm so pissed but i can't remember why. dogs are immortal because we only live second-to-second.

my mom is telepathic and is now communicating to me that she misses me. i just now remembered she and adam are gone and that's why i'm sad!

The Hike

I forgot to tell you about the greatest hike Mom and Dad and Auntie Aisling took me on! We walked all the way up to the summit of a waterfall area, in the Columbia River Gorge area. Mom kept trying to get me to look out over the mountain, but I was too busy keeping my eye on small woodland animals scurrying about. In fact, I got yelled at for almost biting a snake. The humans says I can't "disrupt the natural balance of the ecosystem", whatever that means. I just know I like to investigate whatever moves in my sight path!

I got a brand new collar and leash. Also, Mark got me a big stuffed mouse named Mr. Squeakers. He's still fun to chew on, even though I tore out his brains.

I love parties

Two moons ago, Mom and Dad took me to a party! The best part: there was a big fenced-in yard. Mom let me run and we wrestled. Then she gave me a kong filled with a little peanut butter! It was dream come true. I met some people who said "I love dogs" and "Can I play with you dog?" to my Mom. Then, a dog named Lucifer walked in. I think he was a husky and maybe part wolf? He sure smelled wild.

Then we went home and I fell asleep snoring extra loud.

Last night was soooo boring. I guess Mom spent most of the night with one of her best friends that she hasn't seen in awhile. But she was gone until 9pm! I fell asleep with her and Aisling and Mark, watching Winged Migration. Mmm, all those birds. I couldn't help but dream about chasing them.

Where is Mom?

I can tell she's leaving on a trip! I'm so nervous, even though I'll be with Adam. Her mom is having surgery, and she has to go be with her. I met her mom once. She's a nice Gramma.

Pretty soon I hope I get to enroll in the CGC Class, and then take the test. Look out world, I'm ready to pass with flying colors!
