I haven't written in a long time

This has been a very busy season for me. Dorothy and I have been busy taking care of everyone. Grandma had an operation on her lung and mom broke her leg on a skateboard so I was in charge of guarding them. I have to say that I did a really good job but Dorothy took the credit. Mom said that she had never seen a Schnauzer be so faithful and that made my tail wag.

I did have an operation too but they called it 'altering'. I don't remember it and it only made me sleepy. I haven't tried to run away since then, for some reason that I've forgotten. I play with the dog next door through the fence and we wore paths from the front to the back chasing each other. That is such fun and I always win the races. Life in the backyard is always an adventure.

I hope to have more interesting things to bark about when mom is walking again and we can go more places. I love riding and going to windows where humans give me treats and we are doing that soon. Everyone be good and have a wonderful holiday.

It's a new year

Happy 2006 to everyone. I haven't gotten to update for a while because mom is working nights and she won't let us use her computer while she's at work. We decided that we don't like mom to work nights, it's lonely for us here without her and then she sleeps in the daytime.

I have really tried to stay busy at night and think I've done a pretty good job. I managed to pull up some of the tiles in the laundry room so I'm locked out of there. We get to stay in the main part of the house now, except the bedrooms and that's sort of fun. I learned that Dorothy likes to chew paper too so we chewed up a whole phone book in one night! That was so much fun and it took almost the whole night. We were proud at how little we got the peices but mom didn't look too happy because she got that loud vacuum and sucked it all up as soon as she came in. I thought we deserved a prize. Oh well, we will find something to get a reward for.

Speaking of Dorothy, she has turned out to be my bestest friend. We play all night and have a really good time. I don't sleep all day like she does but she's older so I don't bother her too much. She is teaching me how to chase birds and field mice. Boy, is that fun! I haven't caught any but it sure is fun to try. The back yard is a new adventure every day and I just love to go out and play and chase the dog next door along the fence. I'm faster than he is and I win most of the time.

We got new coats for Christmas. :) The one I got was a parka with a hood to cover my ears and I was pretty handsome in it but it made a funny noise with I moved so mom took it back and got me a really soft one that doesn't make any noise. I learned that if I go and get it and give it to mom, she lets me go out and play. Pretty smart, huh?

I will write more when allowed to got back on but I love all my friends on here and wanted to stay in touch. Rudy Doodie

Gosh, I never thought anyone would honor me with 'diary of the day'. This got my little tail wagging for a whole week. I love dogster and was just happy to share some of my fun things with those who make me smile. I hope everyone gets to be honored too. Love, Rudy

I got caught

I haven't gotten to write for a while because mommy is working longs hours taking care of humans. Whew, I sure am glad Dorothy is here to play with me during the day. Sometimes I think she gets mad because I like to play so much and she is older but she puts up with me and we love each other.

Yesterday we went to my human sister's house to watch the Tx/OU ballgame. It sure was fun over there. My sister has two chihuahuas, Tinky and Bella, and one chiweenie, Sassy. She has a cat too but I never see her. Anyway, we were running all over the place and sneaking chips, then running again. I accidently jumped onto the couch with the other dogs and mommy saw me. She was really excited until she remembered seeing me on the bed one day and didn't know how I got up there. Ya see, we have this game and I think it's ruined now because I was having so much fun. At night when my mommy goes to bed, Dorothy jumps up and lays by her but I never have. I get picked up and and fly like an airplane for a while and then we get belly rubs before going to sleep.:) Last night I laid on the floor and scratched on the bed for a long time before she picked me up, but I did get to sleep up there. Maybe I'm not a baby anymore and need to show her.

Today was beautiful and we were outside most of the day. I have a new collar (yuck) that chokes me if I try to run too far so we had a nice walk and I got to see the leaves and rolled in some, just for more fun. There were kids and other dogs everywhere and we talked to most and got lots of licks and pets. I think that I'm really going to like this season. Well, almost time for my airplane ride!

I'm growing up

I've been really good at the house breaking thing but I still get into trouble lots for chewing things. I can't help it, paper and shoes are more fun than rawhide to me. It's still hot here but I go outside many times a day and play in the backyard for a while with Dorothy. She has a secret escape place but won't show me where it is so I scratch on the door and my mom let's me in. Sometimes we ride in the car and it's so fun. I stick my head out and bite the wind, I'm good at that and catch a lot. I like it when we go to places with mom and the invisable people in the box give you a treat.

Bedtime is the most fun time (except for getting up time). I still can't jump up on the bed yet but I'm trying. We play on the bed and I get belly rubs and hugs. When it's time to get up I give mom kisses and we get to go outside and start over.

I met some new people

Today was lots of fun and full of new things. First thing this morning I chewed up my neice's flip flop and got a swat with a piece of paper, that was new and I didn't like it. Maybe I need to eat the treats instead and be nicer to shoes. My mom tried to sweep the kitchen but I learned that the broom thing is lots of fun to ride on and I got to slide all over the floor, boy that was fun. Dorothy and I went outside and she showed me how to sneak up on birds but she is better than me. Just give me time. We took a nap and when we woke up there was a litte boy there that I like. He comes to see me after school most days for half an hour until his brother gets out and we play chase and fetch. Today he asked his mom if I could go home with them and meet their dog and everyone said yes. I was sooo excited until they tried to make me use a leash thing and I didn't like it so they carried me. We went to the school place and met his brother that is 6 years old and nice and petted me a lot. When we got to their house I met Sophie the cocker spaniel and she was perty like me. We played inside and outside and she really liked me and we are friends now. The cat thing that lives there didn't like me but she was pretty and I tryed to play with her until she hit me and made me scared. The dad came home and he played really fun games with me and gave me belly rubs. He told me that I look like the dog he had when he was a little boy and that made us both smile. He gave me some beef too but I'm not supposed to tell my mom cause I just eat puppy chow (or that's what she thinks). After 3 hours they brought me home and my mom and Dorothy were so glad to see me that they hugged and licked me. Me and Dorothy played and napped and mom says it's almost time for us to go to bed so I guess we better go and get ready for tomorrow. It sure is fun doing new things but more fun to come home.

My Life So Far

I don't remember all my life but here goes. I was on a table and someone stuck me with a needle and made me drink something that tasted bad and I didn't like it. This lady came over and took me from the people that had me and brought me to this house. All that day and night I threw up and just felt bad but the next day my tummy was better. I was itching real bad and scratched all over. My new mom was worried but it was the weekend and there was no doctor to go to. The first work day we went to the doctor and she dipped me in some stinky stuff but I felt better really fast, even before we got home. That's when I noticed that there was another furry person living here. I learned her name was Dorothy and she was nice to me, like a big sister. She taught me that we eat out of bowls in the kitchen (I have one with a purple dino on it) and that Mom doesn't like me to take the bowl to other rooms and hide it. I have a yard with a fence and we go and run and play and I learned now to play tug the sock and sometimes I get to win the game. I still can't jump onto things but I'm really good at jumping off the bed really far. Sometimes Dorothy hides my toys on the couch and I can't reach them but my mom gives them to me. hehehe I have a human sister that has two chihuahuas and one chiweenie and we go and visit and run all over the house and make lots of noise. I'm really happy and hope that everyone on here is happy and has a great home too.
