Leave a bone for George--In Loving Memory

Special Gift Box:

Nicknames: George, Georgie

Quick Bio:
Likes: George loves to play rough with the other dogs in the family! And..he ADORES chickens. So much so that he unfortunately got out once and got loose in our neighbors chicken coop. The chickens did not enjoy Georges visit.

Pet-Peeves: He hates getting wet, and cold weather.

Favorite Toy: Unfortunately, George lives to eat fabric. This would include couches. His other favorite thing is tennis balls. This dog can sniff out a tennis ball wherever he goes. Then he eats them.

Favorite Food: Next to couches and chickens, I'd have to say he just loves plain old dog food.

Favorite Walk: Island Lake State Park, but loves to go anywhere with his mom.

Best Tricks: George will lay down on command. Actually, he lays down no matter what the command, now that I think about it!

Arrival Story: We adopted George soon after learning that our first Doberman, Bob had been diagnosed with bone cancer. As Bob was not expected to live for more than a few months, we wanted poor Bob to help raise a new pup.
Bob wound up living 3 and a half more years, and he indeed raised a fine little brother in George.

Bio: George suddenly became very ill and was diagnosed with a massive intussception. He is no longer in pain, and runs all over the mountains with his big brother Bob.
I'll miss him always.

Hi!
Guess what? I met an angel dog on the very day I got to heaven, and we got to talking. I told him all about my family back on earth, and he said he couldn't WAIT to meet them.
Turns out he was going to be born on earth that very day I left it, and I arranged to have Mom meet him yesterday. He is now part of the family. He is only a baby dog, but I'm sure he will have lots of fun there in the mountains.
I don't think I'd better arrange any more meetings, though. I sure felt sorry for Mom, getting up every hour last night to take Jefferson to the bathroom.
I'll try to help potty train him, but it might be difficult from way up here!

I'm told by my Mom's prayers that my brother Jesse's new brother Gunner is in trouble--he has severe hip dysplasia.
I'm keeping a special eye on him, and Gunners brother Pasha is doing the same. We're also putting in a good word for him with the man upstairs.
Gunner is a very young dog to be going through these troubles.
We're going to send him our very best good wishes, and lots of fun times to boot!

I was so worried about how Mom would do when my ashes were returned, but she was really ok. She calls them "Angel Dust" and keeps them in a box on her nightstand. This weekend she will go pick out something special, but I wish she wouldn't go to the trouble.
Bob and I have been roaming all over, getting into mischief and having a ball.
Christmas in heaven is beyond anything you could ever hope to see, so it may be a while before I can tear myself away to write.
Have a great Christmas, everyone!
