Favorite Toy: Fingers, Top to the hamster ball, Pink flamingo

Favorite Walk: To the bathroom to go potty on the floor
Best Tricks: Scaring mommy and daddy with his cough and murmur :(
Arrival Story: The breeder we got our Priscilla from had a baby for sale with a heart murmur. We wanted to get a new dog and he was a special dog we thought we could give a good home. When we got Nugget he was in worse shape than we thought with a horrible cough and his murmur seemed severe. We took Noogie to a cardiologist and found out he has a grade 4 PDA and will need heart surgery once he is big enough. His cough is due to the beginnings of congestive heart failure, so he is on quite a few medications to help keep him going till he is big enough for surgery.
Bio: Noogie will get surgery if/when he gets big enough, In the meantime hes a very happy doggy and seems to love life! Hes a very brave little guy.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Hi everyone! I am totally recovered from my surgery. I can now run very fast and constantly beat up on my sister. I like to eat shoes and beg for food. I am a very good jumper and love to stand on my 2 back legs. I feel amazing! I am now a regular doggy and can do all the things other dogs can do, except climb the stairs, I am somewhat afraid of heights. Thank you to all of you who wrote and wanted to know how I was doing. It was because of you that I was able to get the hope to get better sooo fast. My hair is growing back now, even though I do not look quite like a Pomeranian yet. Uh oh I see a show on the ground time for lunch. Talk to you soon. Love Noogie
So I had my surgery on Thursday at 11 am. I was doing alright on thursday and spent the night at the hospital. The next day I didnt feel good and my heart stopped beating. My doctor is amazing and resucitated me. Mommy and daddy came to visit me and I had a breathing tube, a lot of ivs and i was really lopped up on morphine. I didnt feel very well to say the least... Mommy and daddy were worried but they had to leave me to stay one more night. Mommy, Daddy and Bean gave me a kiss goodbye and I went to bed for a little. At 9 I was thinking about Bean and my mommy and daddy and decide I wanted to get better and go home. I started eating on my own, my breathing was easier and I was feeling 100 percent better. I got taken off the breathing machine and the ivs, Mommy and daddy called the doctor this morning and he said I could go home! Yay!!! Dr. Hammer, Melissa Hammer, and all of the staff at Norwood Park Animal Hospital were the greatest, without them there is no chance I would be here today. Dr. Hammers wife held me in the air for 2 hours straight so I could breathe, then on friday night they brought me home to their house and watched me all night! Talk about a good vet!!!! I love them and I want to thank themfor saving my life. For now I need to rest but I will keep in touch day by day I will get better... Love all of you. Noogie
Well everyone Noogie gets his surgery on thursday, and although it will cost a pretty penny we are very excited. The surgery is supposed to be quite simple and we do not have any other options. Without surgery he would have lasted a mere 2 months. Lets hope for the best and pray that everything goes perfect. Will keep you updated!! :)
