Arrival Story:
My parents were contemplating getting a dog. Mom wanted to adopt a greyhound. Dad would have no part of that. I was conceived when my doggie mom escaped and found my doggie dad chained up across the road. After a shot to abort the litter and a "false pregnancy", I was born--the only puppy in the litter. My doggie mom's parents were going to give me to almost everyone in their family, and then no one wanted me. My next stop was the pound-until she called my Mom and Dad. They brought my older sister (a 1 1/2 year old human) to see me. I was worried, because they said they had to think about it. I was sooooo happy Monday morning when Mom came to pick me up and I could go to my new family.

Bio:
I now live with my older (human) sister and my younger (human) sister at my parents' house in Missouri. We came here after leaving my birthstate of Wisconsin and spending a couple of years in Kansas. My cousin Frannie and her Mom also live with us. I love my family, even though I don't have much energy to play with them. It is with sadness that we said goodbye to our loyal companion on July 3, 2007. Thanks to a wonderful friend and compassionate vet, we were able to be with Miracle during her final moments. Life is very different without out middle child. Who ever said Goldens weren't human???
