Quick Bio:

Likes:
My all time favorite is to chase any squirrel that I come accross. In his last few months, he was losing his eyesight, so he couldn't see the squirrels much anymore - so his favorite thing then was eating - anything and everything!

Pet-Peeves:
I really don't like being left home all by myself - I love my parents so much that I just want to be with them all the time!

Favorite Toy:
I love knawing on shin and femur bones - especially when they are filled with marrow or peanut butter

Favorite Food:
Absolutely anything I can get ahold of! My mommy and daddy's food always smells so good that I just have to try to steal some when they aren't looking. I even love finding old fruit scraps and anything else on the ground when I go for walks.

Favorite Walk:
I love going on walks around Hermann Park, especially when the squirrels are out.

Best Tricks:
Considering that I am deaf, I actually know sign language for sit, shake, lie down and stay.

Arrival Story:
My mommy and daddy say that they were initially looking for an English Cocker Spaniel (ECS) puppy. That brought them to a dog show to meet my foster mom who also breeds ECS dogs. I had just come to my foster mom's house about a week earlier. They found me at a shelter after a nice person found me and tried to give me a home, but it just didn't work out. So at the Dog Show, my foster mom convinced my mommy and daddy to just take a look at me, even though they thought they wanted a puppy. Then I just turned on my lovable charm and I knew they melted right away. I really wanted to go home with them right away, but my foster mom had to keep looking for my former owner. I don't know what happened to them. Well, finally after a month of searching, my foster mom decided to give my new mommy and daddy a call. They came to get me on January 1st, 2003. What a great way to start the new year - with a new family that loves me and spoils me all the time!

Bio:
I absolutely love my doggy life! My mommy and daddy say that my tail never stops wagging, unless of course it is time for a bath! They say my tail even wags when I am dreaming! I love going for rides in the car and letting my long ears flap in the wind. Houston just got a new dog park where I can go and run and play off my leash - I like going there to play with my family. Sometimes they even let me go to my favorite day camp place and I get to play with all my other doggie friends all day long. When I get home I am usually so exhausted because I spent so much time running and playing! I also have lots of neighbor doggie friends that I get to see on my walks. My new activity is chasing bunny rabbits. I just discovered them recently and they are great fun to chase because they can't run up trees like the squirrels do. But they can still hide pretty well! I can't wait for our next camping trip when I can play in the forest, go on hikes and smell all the wonders of the great outdoors! My mommy and daddy wanted to say that they think I am the most special and precious doggie ever! I love them so much!

As all good dogs do, Oliver was getting older and older. His quality of life had gone downhill quite dramatically over the last year. He had to wear a diaper since he lost all control, and eventually was not able to walk or stand up. Turns out our sweet Oliver had cancer and he passed on in early June 2007. He was loved with all our heart and soul and is missed terribly. We will see you at the rainbow bridge! Here is a little slide show memorial for Oliver. http://www.slide.com/r/Dv50QkpL0D_rMClN1-4lpzNBNXZzlK5L?previous_view=mscd_embedded_url&view=original
