Likes:
Playing fetch; running; eating; sleeping; playing tag with the cats (especially Fernie who is no longer with us); being outside; getting sprayed with the hose

Pet-Peeves:
Other dogs besides Steven; the vacuum cleaner; taking his Cosequin every day; when his brother "speaks" (he likes to bite him in the head when he does that); being left behind; having his nails trimmed (it's his worst fault)

Chuck-it; anything that makes noise; anything he can chase and bring back; any toy filled with something edible

Anything edible but especially food from McDonald's that his Grandpa brings him (and ice-cream)

Favorite Walk:
Cannon Beach; our big backyard

Best Tricks:
Roll over (it only took me two years to teach him how to do it...he's smart, just not book smart...or maybe I'm just not good at teaching...hmmm)

Arrival Story:
Gatsby came into the AEC in Tacoma as one puppy in a litter of eight. All tested positive for parvo. Even though he had parvo, Gatsby never vomited or had diarrhea. He was nice and fat and loved to eat. Since he was the biggest and cutest puppy, I decided to bring him home to be a brother to Steven. I had already decided that I wanted him, but I brought my fiance into the kennels to see all eight puppies and he instantly said "I want the white one." It was perfect. Since there were eight puppies in a huge run that ate voraciously, they were kind of messy. We gave Gatsby a bath before taking him home and I scrubbed his right ear for about a minute before I realized it wasn't poop that was on him but that he had very cool markings on his ear. We took him home on April Fool's Day 2003. Does that say anything about us? Anyway, it was very important that one year old Steven have a friend since I was starting vet school. They are now best friends. Gatsby is the best dog aside from the whole dog aggression thing. He might even be a better dog than Steven...and that is saying a lot! He is very eager to please.
