He was a skeleton, just skin and bones. He had not eaten or really drank anything in nine whole days. His owners could not afford surgery to remove the foreign body and initially agreed to surrender him for humane euthanasia. A wonderful veterinarian refused to euthanize him because he was otherwise healthy and saved his life by performing surgery. During his recovery at the clinic, I quickly fell in love with him and offered to take him home. Another surgery and a few plasma transfusions later, he is perfect.
