9-5, what a time to sleep on the couch

Fun with plastic

mommy came up with a new game last night. It was fun! It involved treats!! She put a treat under a bowl on the kitchen floor, and then I got to get it out! It was hard work I tell ya! I thought I'd have to come in on Saturday to get it done! But no, it just took some hard thought about the physical properties of matter and energy - objects in motion stay in motion unless acted upon by a force and all that stuff that daddy talks about. Anyway. I bounced the bowl off the can of goodies (they call it a "garbage can") and the bowl bounced up and yay! My treat!! It was so fun!

Funny Smells

Mom moved the furniture again. It's got me all nervous. She put some of that weird stuff on the walls and made it all stinky. She moved the furniture too. But now the house is ok. The furniture is getting moved back and the smell is almost gone.

October 2

Mom and dad have been gone an awful lot lately! Oh thursday, they talked about someone named Dee Bates. So, when mom came home and got me, I was alll excited! I would get to meet someone new!! Sadly, we went to this place and then I sat in the truck, while mom and dad were inside hanging out with this Dee Bates guy. They did take turns coming out to see me though, and they weren't in there that long (2 hours maybe?) and I got snacks to nibble on while waiting, so it wasn't the worst. I napped.

THen yesterday, mom came home early again, fed me, and left me at home! I was soooo mad. However, I have heard them talking this morning about a "long walk". Then, my name...as in "Lexi needs a long walk." As long as they feed me first, I'm game. I wonder if we'll play ball?
