Saying "hello!" to anyone and everyone...and once he's done, taking a bath
When imaginary objects touch his butt and/or being crated when he wants to play
Any loud squeaky toy, Kusasi the Monkey and any article of clothing belonging to his Mom...
Anything involving chicken or peanut butter...He dines daily on California Natural's Lamb Meal and Rice...but it has to be "enhanced" before he'll touch it.
To the playground...
ALWAYS being in the middle, High Five, pull the covers off Mom and Dad and slobbering
Before having met Pokey's Dad, I knew I'd wanted a puppy, a Boxer in particular due to their clownish and affectionate reputation. Then I fell for a man, now Pokey's Dad, who loved Pugs...
One day last winter we responsed to an ad in the newspaper about Boxer pups - we were just going "to look." There was one puppy left when we arrived at the breeder's; a beautiful pudgy white male. He struck me as looking like, "The Poky Little Puppy" from the Little GoldenBooks series.
The Pug-lover sat down next to the Boxer pup who immediately climbed into his lap...they took to each other in an instant and we brought our "Pokey" home on the spot. We've been crazy-in-love with our little (now HUGE) boxer boy ever since!
I call middle!

I've been away from my diary for a while 'cuz our family has been REALLY busy!
A year ago Mom and Dad had this HUGE party called a wedding - but I wasn't invited, so it couldn't have been too important.
After all of that fuss things were quiet here for a while - we took lots of trips to Dog Park and went for walks to my favorite playground...but then Mom got tired all of the time and I went out mostly with Dad.
A few weeks ago Mom went away for a while and Dad was really busy - some of my relatives visited me and took me for walks and I only saw Dad at night and he kept going on and on about me being a big brother. Then one day Mom and Dad came home - they brought Nana too and this squeaky toy in a bucket they call a car seat.
Nana only stayed for a week but we got to be roommates and every night I showed her how good I am at sharing by getting into her bed - under the covers to warm them up for her. In the mornings she would share her toast withme - Yum!
The funny thing is the squeaky toy stayed here with us even after Nana left. All of these people came to see it and only a few of them even bothered to say "hi" to me! They all brought toys that would be perfect for me and left them with the thing my parents call my little "skin" brother.
Now that my brother has been here for a while I've gotten to really like him. I don't like it when he's sad - it makes me nervous and I have to check on him lots to make sure he's okay. He smells good and Dad lets me kiss him, but Mom gets all cranky if I happen to slobber him (which obviously I can't help, I am a Boxer afterall!)
Anyway - I hope all of you Dogsters are doing well - Mom has to go help my little brother AGAIN so she can't type for me anymore...Don't whine kid, we're coming - I'll give ya smooches!

Hi-ya Dogsters! SO much has been going on lately that I haven't been able to write a new diary entry...Where to begin?
Well, today I'm hanging with my Dad a lot 'cuz he says we're watching football...we can't find my squeaky football, but Dad still plays a lot and jumps around and dances with me shouting, "TOUCHDOWN!" Then he sits down on the couch and looks at that box-thing again...people are weird!
Last week Mom and Dad told me I had a very special day to celebrate and they hugged me lots, jumped around singing a song with my name in it and took me to the Dog Park. Dad took me to Petco and Mom got me a new pillow for my den. The best part was when they were singing they gave me a treat they called, "cake." Wow, was that cake stuff ever good! I liked it so much that I just had to put my paws up on the kitchen counter to get some more...Mom and Dad didn't even yell or chase me like they usually do...I guess it really WAS a special day!
I hope the rest of you pups have a "birthday" soon 'cuz it's like the best thing ever, ever, EVER!!! Even the part with the hat was alright...'tho I still think people are REALLY weird.

Mom keeps callin' me "Bumpy Backed Boxer Boy..." I don't know why. Then she shoves these NASTY things in my mouth called pills. I don't like them one bit - thankfully these big jowls of mine come in handy for hiding pills too! Mom says if I get rid of my bumps - no more pills - What bumps?!??!?
Anyway, last night I had SO much fun! Mom took me to Petco so we could get something as a thank-you for my dog-walker (I LOVE my dog-walker) Mom said I was a good boy and could pick out a little treat...and by little treat she really meant a BIG red ball on a rope!
This ball/rope toy is grrrrrrreat - it's like, my FAVORITE! I played in the Petco aisles, I played with the man in line at Petco, I played with the cashier (tho' I only let her have my new toy for a milisecond) I played outside of Petco I played in the car I played at home...Iplayed so long that Mom told me I played too much! Who could possibly play too much!?!?
As soon as I woke up this morning I played with my new toy again....woo-hoo love that big red ball on a rope!
