Arrival Story:
Elly May was a rescue dog with serious arthritis problems in her legs. She had an awful time walking and especially getting up after lying down. (I often had to pick her butt up to help her get to her feet. But the vet said it was her front paws that are effected most.) She was affectionate a dog as you've ever seen. Gentle and friendly, too. She never would have bitten or snarled at anyone, no matter how much pain she felt.
Bio:
Elly was a stray before going to the rescue organization, where I found her. They estimate that she was around 10 years old, when I got her. She was here about one year, then had to be put down on Aug. 8, 2006, when she became too weak to stand on her own and too disoriented to find her way to her kennel or her water dish.
