Going for walks, eating, barking, sleeping, playing "keep away" and chewing his raw hide bones.
Being left alone. Planes at night. The sound of birds chirping, power tools and the vacuum. If the TV is left on after 10PM he barks, because it is his bedtime.
Mr. Purple Legs, Squeeky Trout, Squeeky Squab, Tennis Ball and Kong.
He likes ALL food! Bananas and apples are his favorite.
Skyline Park, our neighborhood (including the fire trail, walk to the Village and the "Magellan Loop".
He knows high-five, sit, down, stay, shake and wait.
My husband and I lived in a small apartment that did not allow dogs for 5 years. We both LOVE dogs. We got our dog "fix" by baby-sitting the dogs of friends and co-workers and petting every single dog we saw.
2 years ago we bought a house. It was time to get a dog. We have always wanted a Pug. We initially attempted to get a rescue Pug, but found the requirements of the local Pug rescue organizations to be ridiculously stringent. We ended up getting our Pug Pious from Kenwood Pugs of Santa Barbara. He is very handsome. The breeder named him “The Professor†because he is very smart. He was the first puppy in the litter to figure out how to use the dog door and walk on the stairs. His full name is actually Kenwood's Pious Professor.
He is the light of our life and we love him dearly. He also brings joy to many others. Whenever we are out for a walk or running errands, children and adults always stop to pet him. He puts a smile on everyone’s face that he sees!
Pious is a single coat Pug. He had an umbellical hernia removed when he was neutered. He likes to nibble on all fabric and paper (& people too).
We hope he outgrows this. He has a funny habit of carrying his bones around the house with a pensive look on his face. He is looking for a place to bury it. Sometimes he cries out of frustration, because he longs for a yard to dig a hole and bury it in. He is the most wonderful Pug in the world.
Little dog with big snore.

Greetings fellow, furry, four-legged creatures!
Just had my teeth cleaned and I had 3 loose, infected incisors. They had abcesses all around them and had to be removed. Last year when I had my teeth cleaned, they had to remove 2 teeth and I was only 2 years old. Jeez!! My teeth are falling out and the hair on my chin is all gray. I'm only 3 years old. My mom was feeling like a bad mom, because I have such bad teeth. The vet doctor said that I need to have my teeth brushed regularly. Since I am a pug, my face is flat and my mouth is shaped like a cave. All of my little teeth are crowded in there and highly suceptible to decay. I don't like to have my teeth brushed, but will probably learn to like it since the toothpaste is poultry flavored! So, here I am 3 years old sans 5 teeth. The good news is that I still have my Molars and can continue to crunch on my Merrick twisty treats!
And now that my mom is brushing my teeth, I will probably not loose anymore and become one of those toothless, lolly tongued pugs! Not that the lolly tongued pugs aren't just as cute as me...

Oh no! Got a foxtail stuck up my nose last week! I like to sniff everything and had my nose too close to the ground and accidentally sniffed up a whopper of a foxtail. When I came back home I was sneezing uncontrollably while my dad frantically flipped through my canine first aid guide. Mom came to the rescue! She knew exactly what was wrong. She rushed me to the vet and by that time I was sneezing and spraying blood everywhere! It was very uncomfortable, but my mom comforted me and reassured me that I would feel better soon.
I stayed at the vet for the day and had it surgically removed. My doctor said he was impressed that I managed to get such a large foxtail up my tiny, flat little nose!
It's foxtail season boys and girls. Keep sniffing, just be careful where you put your Schnoze!!
