Arrival Story:
I decided that I wanted a dog, and we have always had doxies. I went on to Coast 2 Coast Dachshund Rescue, and found the sweetest face I have ever seen. Hattie's story was quite sad though-her old family said she barked too much, and took to abusing her. They dumped her at the pound, who called C2CDR.
Someone decided they wanted her, so they shipped her to CT from TN. Then they said that they didn't, so she was fostered in CT. That is where I saw her.
We met, she was so timid and anxious, afraid of all people. Within a day though, she bonded to me, but not to anyone else.
Now, 2 years later, Hattie is a happy, social dog who loves to cuddle, refuses any bed but the one her parents are in, and loves to cause mischief and move shoes around.
