Why wouldn't I love it. I am an American Eskimo Dog!!!! Bring on the chill, bring on the sleet and snow and blinding blizzard conditions!!! Oh yeah...I live in Austin, Texas. Well then bring on the light frost and temperatures that hover above 5o degrees in the daytime. It did get to the teens the other night and Max, Poppy and I chased each other in and out the doggy door. The cold gets us FRISKY! Then we wrap in next to mommy in her bed and sleep in down filled comfort all night.
Today it rained all day and although we love the cold and we don't mind the rain our mommy hates it when we get wet and jump all over the furniture.
Oh big news. We had a breakout last week. Someone came in the backyard and left the gate open and well of course we had to run out and see what is out there beyond the fence. Wr had never been in the front of the house before except to get in the car on a leash to go somewhere. So when we left by ourselves without tellig our mommy she pretty much lost her mind. Our mommy was really upset and drove all over the neighborhood looking for us. When we saw her we jumped in the car and she took us back home immediately. Wow what a day that was! She just kept hugging us and kissing us and telling us how much she loves us and that running around was dangerous and we could have been hurt or killed. Oops. We are glad to be home.

My handsome son is entered in the 3rd annual world's coolest dog and cat show contest. Vote for my son. He is quite an attractive catch and quite the little honey. Sometimes I have to remind him who is the boss in the family and scold him but really he's such a dear. You really should vote for Max...my son you know.
A very proud mother

There is an enemy next door. A stranger with diabolical intentions. We must remain ever vigilant and on guard. ..Mom says to stop barking at the neighbors new dog!
Can you believe the audacity of those people.? We had a safe, quiet and respectable neighborhood until they brought that heathen into the mix. Okay, truth be told, we haven't actually seen much of the interloper. Only what we can discern through the fence and he/she doesn't actually make a lot of noise ( that would be us according to Mom) nor does he seem very interested in us. We have sniffed through the fence with an intensity that mom said would make the wet/dry vacuum blush. This is a cause that we have thrown every available resource behind and we three feel that this false sense of security our mom has is all the more reason why we must ferociously attack the fence and bark until we reach a fevered cacophonous crescendo of sound. I am proud to say we got the dog in the yard behind us to howl today! :-) HE understands the nature of this new beast as well as I do. Unfortunately Mom closed the dog door so our patrols were preempted for the afternoon. She simply DOES NOT understand the dire situation.
Never fear! We will never tire of our cause.
Heroically Yours,
Chloe
