Pet-Peeves:
Luna dislikes cats who are just out of reach, thunder, men in uniform, strangers who reach to pet without waiting for permission, time outs, closed doors, and not being in control.

ball ball ball throw the ball

Favorite Food:
green tripe (no accounting for taste)

Past the gopher hole

Best Tricks:
Luna's got the fastest jaws I have ever seen, she can snatch a ball out of the air faster than you can say "catch!"

Arrival Story:
The first pup we wanted we were unable to adopt--it turns out that another person had expressed interest in adopting him (it isn't clear whether we were there first or they were). They also wanted to adopt his brother. So, since we could only take one, he went to another home. We really liked him and we were feeling really dejected that he didn't get to come home with us after all--we got our hopes up and felt cheated. We decided to stop looking for a dog, it must be a sign. Well, the no-dog moratorium was short-lived. It wasn't long before we were looking online again. We saw a puppy at a shelter in LI. We decided it wouldn't hurt to go and look, so we took the trek out to see her, after being drilled over the phone by the rescue worker. We were sure we weren't going to be allowed to adopt her--the woman sounded very discouraging. But we were captivated by the possibility that it might be ok. When we got there there was some confusion, but ultimately we ended up holding the little girl pup. She was so sweet. I didn't want to let her go. And it turned out, no one ever made me give her back. They let us have her and take her home that day. She spent the car ride in my lap, my precious little bundle. She's been spoiled rotten ever since.

Bio:
Luna's a spoiled princess who is turning into a country dog. She's a little weirded out by all the new sights and sounds, but she knows she loves it out here. Thunder, not so much.

Forums Motto:
"Yeah, that's mine."
