2 weeks ago, my new daddy drove north and my rescue daddy drove south. They met in North Carolina and that is where my new life began. My new daddy put me in a crate in his van so I could travel in comfort and safety. Daddy and I then drove all the way home so we could see my new mommy and my new siblings. I now have 3 brothers and 1 sister. They are lots of fun to play with.
I loved riding in the van with my daddy. He turned the air conditioning on so I would be comfy. And my crate had this really nice, fluffy bed in it. I was in puppy heaven and drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, daddy took me out to potty, fed me and then took me to potty again. Then we got back in the van to continue our drive home.
After a long time in the van, we finally got home. My new mommy came out to meet us at the van. She opened up my crate, scooped me up in her arms and started smothering me with kisses. Then we went inside to meet my new family. It was love at first sight! I just adored my big brothers and sister.
Life since getting home has been filled with fun and learning. I have learned to use a doggie door to go out on my own to go potty. I have learned h0w to jump up on mommy and daddy's bed and curl up beyween their pillows. (I look really cute so they don't have the heart to chase me off.) I have also learned to jump in the pool and swim.
Well, that about sums up my first 2 weeks here at my new home. I will try and remember to update you guys every so often. But you know how it is when us puppies get side tracked playing. Bye for now.
Love,
Diamond
